Rastafarian Religion: 10 Facts & Beliefs

Rasta Religion –  18 Jah Prayers White Rastafari

Some  Rasta Stereotypes – Jah Rastafari Morning Prayer

  1. 51fQ7SPHsSL._SX311_BO1,204,203,200_The God of Rastafari – The “God” of Jah Rastafari is “King Selassie I of Ethiopia, crowned King of Ethiopia November 2nd 1930. Some people wonder why we praise King Selassie I if he is dead. To Rasta King Selassie I never dies. Give thanks and praises to the Most High.
  2. The Colors of Rastafari – The official colors of Rastafari are Red Yellow and Green. The same colors that are on the Ethiopian flag. Sometimes we include white or black.
  3. Who was the first Rasta? – This is a tough Question to answer. If you ask me personally now that I have thought about it…all the main men in the bible. Samson, Solomon, Samuel, Ezra…King David…Jesus Christ….apart from them you have Leonard Howell. Google him.
  4. Biblical Royal lineage of King Selassie I – King Menelik, the child of Queen of 250px-Ras_Mäkonnen_(Wäldä-Mika'él)_(1852-1906)Sheba and King Solomon was King Selassie I uncle. Royal blood line from the lineage of King David and the Tribe of Judah. (left is a photo of King Selassie I father, Ras Makonnen.)
  5. King and Queen of Ethiopia – I am told first time in History a King and Queen were crowned (King of Ethiopia and Queen of Ethiopia) at the Same time. In Rastafari Culture there is no such thing as a woman beneath her man. If a Rasta woman is submissive to her Kingman, it is because it is written on her heart, not because Rastafari calls for her to do that.
  6. King Selassie I birthday celebrated – King Selassie I Date of birth is July 23 1892 and is celebrated by Rasta every year as “Earth Strong.”
  7. Groundation Day – King Selassie I visited Jamaica on April 21nd 1966. That day is know celebrated by Rastafari people worldwide as “Groundation Day.”
  8. Dreadlocks – Hair worn in Dreadlocks of Rasta Represent, Dedication to Jah, King 1-sexy-black-man-dreadlocksSelassie I, a symbolic crown, a natural way of life. No fuss, no vanity. “Yahweh spoke to Moses and said, ‘Speak to the Israelites and say:  If a man or a woman wishes to make a vow, the Nazirite vow, to vow himself to Yahweh, he will abstain from wine and fermented liquor, he will not drink vinegar derived from one or the other, he will not drink grape juice or eat grapes, be they fresh or dried.  For the duration of his vow he will eat nothing that comes from the vine, not even juice of unripe grapes or skins of grapes.  As long as he is bond by his vow, no razor will touch his head; until the time for which he has vowed himself to Yahweh, he will not go near a corpse, he will not make himself unclean for his fathjah rastafari beleifser or his mother, or his brother or his sister, should they die, since on his head he carries his vow to his God.  Throughout the whole of his vow he is a person consecrated to Yahweh.”Numbers 6:1- 8
  9. Freedom of Self – Rasta believe every man should be allowed to live his life as he chooses. For more Rastafari Beliefs and Principles read the book on amazon.com
  10. Rastafari is not a Religion – Rasta says Rastafari is not a Religion. Rasta say Rastafari is a way of life. Pure and simple. There are no Rastafari practices which one must do. More Rastafari Religion Facts to teach your child Here.

Blessed Love to each and every one. In the name of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I.

I found you guys really liked my blog post about King Dawitt King of Ethiopia(1507-1540), so I thought I would look up some more information pertaining to Rastafari for you.

I really didn’t know what the Twelve Tribes of Israel meant as it pertains to Rastafari, so I looked it up in a book called…”Rastafari: A very Short Introduction.”

Here is what I learned.

The Prophet Gad (aka Vernon Carrington) , founder of the Rastafari group called the Twelve Tribes of Israel, believed that his mission was to reconstitute the ancient Hebrew tribes that bore the names of the sons of Jacob. Based on their birth month, all the members are assigned to a tribe and associated with a certain characteristic:

I had to read that twice to really get it. I immediately understood that Gad, was a prophet.

Tribe Birth Month Characteristic
Reuben April/Nisan Strength
Simeon May/Iyar Faith
Levi June/Sivan Will
Judah July/Tammuz Praise
Issachar August/Av Zeal
Zebulon September/Elus Order and Compassion
Dan October/Tishri Judgement
Gad November/Heshvan Power
Asher December/Kislev Understanding
Napthali January/Tevet Love
Joseph February/Shevat Imagination
Benjamin March/Adar Elimination

Upon Further Reading:

  • The Twelve Tribes of Israel Mansion of Rastafari was founded in 1968
  • Prophet Gad was reading the bible and receive a call from Jah, to “Reunify the Lost Tribes of Israel”
  • They follow the Hebrew Calendar that Starts in April and ends in March

Beliefs of the Twelve Tribes of Israel:

Jesus Christ vs.King Selassie I

prophet gad twelve tribes

The Twelve Tribes are often dubbed “Christian Rasta’s” because while other Rasta’s tend to repudiate Jesus Christ, associating him with the Jesus of Lubeck, One of “John Hawkins” slave ships, Twelve Tribes members insist that Jesus Christ of the new testament, is the messiah and the only savior of humankind. To them Selassie was a Divine King from the same Linage as King David, Full filling the biblical prophecy, “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come, and unto him shall the gathering of the people be”(Genesis 49:10) He was a twentieth Century Representative of Jesus Christ, but he was not the expected messiah who will return in the bodily form in which he ascended into heaven.

This was very interesting for me to read. I had no idea about what the Twelve Tribes of Israel Rastas Believed before today. As for me? King Selassie I has filled up my life with so much beauty wonder and awe. I will leave you on that note. I have a “Jah Rastafari Prayer book” coming out. It should be on amazon.com any day now.

I want to thank you for reading this blog post. Share it if you find it interesting.

King Selassie I & Empress Menen Too. Now that I am older, I find I appreciate my faith a lot more. I really know the true beauty, blessing and wonder of Rastafari.

How to cook Ital Rasta food: 6 Rules

How to cook Ital Rasta Food with 6 Tips

jamaican ackee and saltfish

    1. No Meat: – As Rasta we do not eat or cook beef, pork, shell fish, or anything that has a hoof and chews a cud. Insert bible verse
    2. No Salt: – and we do not cook with salt. This is what makes the food Ital. Natural and clean. Overuse of salt, has. If rasta must use salt we usebecome a rasta, i want to be a rasta sea salt only
    3. Abundance of Flavor: – When Rasta cook we aim to make the food flavorful without the use of salt. We use allspice, or we use onion garlic, thyme and tomato pimento, scallion, black pepper, coconut for flavor. Many Jamaican and Caribbean foods are cooked with this vegetable and spice combination.
    4. Fish with Scales: Many Rasta love to eat fish, and some Rasta are Vegan. It is a rule from the bible for our spirituality (the nazirite vow) (deutoronomy and numbers) that we only eat fish with scales. Salt fish, red herring, king fish, are some Rastafari favorites. Rasta do not eat shell fish, such as shrimp, or lobster, or crab, as they clean the bottom of the sea, and are therfor unclean for Rasta to eat.
    5. Protein and greens:ackee-and-saltfishRasta know it is important to eat a diet that promotes strength, especially when one is vegetarian or vegan. Rasta love to incorporate forms of protein and greens and other strength building foods in with their cooking such as beans, peas, nuts and greens, such as calaloo, okra, Yam,green banana, and broccoli.
    6. Color and texture: – There is an old saying “People eat with their eyes” You may mix some yellow ackee, with some green calaloo. Or dash some orange pumpkin in with white rice, Jah likes when we include various colored and textured food because it allows us enjoy the food exactly the way the earth grows the food for us.

How to cook Ital Rasta food: 6 Rules

how to keep a rasta happy

Cook strictly Ital (Vegan) – Rasta love food that reminds them
of Jah living. Food such as vegetables, fruits, beans, seeds, and earth vegetables…, so be sure to cook strictly (Ital) Vegan food, to keep your Rasta Happy.

  1. Don’t Curse and swear – Rasta do not like the sound of swear words, or put downs, or anything that is said with a malicious or negative intent. Use positive words to express your self or simply leave out the swearing and negative intent. Rasta are sensitive beings.
  2. Show Love to Children and The Elderly – Rasta love to care for the poor, needy, elderly and children. If you care for persons from this group, this will make your Rasta very happy.
  3. Spend time alone – Spend time alone with stimulation from something or someone else. Rasta believes that time alone is time with God. Embrace it.
  4. Respect his or her alone time – Respect when your Rasta is a lone.  A Rastafari spiritual and personal time is of the utmost importance. Rasta have spiritual times, that last for hours, or for days… If you can handle that…your Rasta will be quite happy.
  5. Love God (Jah) – A true Rastafari who loves and respects his partner  will want him/her to have their own faith, and Rasta takes simple comfort in the fact that they love God, and have their own personal relationship with him.
  6. how to keep a rastaman happyPlay Rasta Reggae Music – Rastafari men and women love to hear Rastafari Reggae music playing. It makes them feel good inside. Try playing some Rasta Reggae music to show your Rasta that you care and that you are sensitive to their needs and desires. Try some Dennis Brown, Some Gregory Isaacs, or even some “old school” Garnett Silk. Your Rasta will smile to be surprised by these spiritual sounds.

  7. Seek to “Overstand”
    – Seek to understand situations rather than get angry or become offended. Rasta love when people are patient and seek deeper “understanding” of things.
  8. Never discuss S*x – Rasta do not believe in discussing s*xual issues. We believe if your mate, is not a good match for you in this way…it is your fate. We use clean words for s*x, and we don’t seek to pervert or amplify sexual encounters. Rasta sees s*x as love-making.
  9. Buy Gifts that are Rastafari – Rasta like gifts that are red yellow and green, related to Africa, or have a picture of Marcus Garvey, King Selassie I, or Bob Marley on it. When searching for a gift for your Rasta keep this in mind. Rasta love Rasta hats, and Rasta beaded necklaces in case you were wondering. These types of gifts make Rasta feel happy inside.
  10. Respect your Rasta personal space and items – don’t change or touch or move anything that belongs to a Rasta. It may have spiritual meaning. Such an action may be taken personally, but Rasta are so gentle that they would never say. Keep your Rasta happy and dont touch or move personal items.
  11. Don’t ask too many questions about his/her faith – Just accept Rasta as they are….I guarantee the Rasta in your life is accepting you as you are! So, why not return the favor? Don’t ask to many questions about his/her faith…it supposed to be a personal thing anyway right?
  12. Embrace Cleanliness – Rasta like all things “clean.” Rasta love toRastafari live in a clean home, have on clean clothes, eat clean food, use clean language, and to maintain clean thoughts. That the Rastafari way of life.
  13. Love your Self“Self Love” is one of the basic principles of Rastafari. By loving your self, Rasta show you more love for accepting your self the way that Jah created you.

Love and Blessings. Don’t forget to check out my new book entitled “Convert to Rastafari” where I explain how to think like a true Rasta, and overstand the true image of God as explained by Bob Marley himself.

How to Tell if someone is Rastafari

how to tell if someone is Rasta

You may be wondering how you can tell if someone is a Rastafari, well here are 10 points to help you out.

#1 Rastas do not eat meat!

Rastafari people does not eat Meat. Rastafari are Vegan. We have been “encouraged” or “guided” by Jah not to ingest, “dead Flesh!” To learn more read my book “Rastafari Beliefs and Principles.”

heart fill#2 Rasta show Love and respect for you

Rastafari are full of love. This is why they tend to show a lot of love and respect for their friends and family members. They like to be helpful, and considerate. They like to know that others around them are comfortable and feeling good. Rastas do things such as help people with (grocery) bags, offer to talk if a friend is feeling blue, or listen when a family member wants to share feelings about their day. Love and “Raspect” is what Rasta are here to provide…because we work for Jah.

#3 Rasta Read the bible often

Rasta read the bible. It makes them feel complete in their souls. The words of Jah, a Rasta closest friends, fills them with Joy, and reminds them of their duties and their spiritual destiny. If a person is a Rasta, they will likely read and talk about what is written in the bible with you. This is because the King James Version Bible is a Rastafari favorite book.

#4 Rasta mention God or Jah A lot

black jesus3Rastafari people believe in God, Many call him “Jah.” Rasta are concerned about Judgement. A time when Jah will determine ones spiritual destiny based on the deeds he performed in his lifetime. Rasta try to live “clean” in all areas of life. Some examples are, no swearing, no physical Fighting, no putting other people down etc. This is how Rasta stay on the safe side, in order that Jah will determine a Judgement of “peace and rest” for Rasta.

#5 Rasta try to stay away from sins of the earth

Rastafari steer away from the sins of the earth. Rasta knows we are living in Babylon. Babylon is a place that has little to no regard for Jah, and his Holy book. Rasta try to keep away from Lust, Lies, Gossip, fornication, adultery, pornography etc. If a person is a Rastafari, these things are displeasing to the soul of a Rasta.

#6 Rasta believe in Satan

Rastas speak of Satan. Rastas understand that there are 2 forces on the earth, Satan and his demons, which is wickedness, such as lying stealing, jealousy, division, etc. And, Jah and his Angels, which is Love, such as telling the truth, being kind and considerate of the feelings of others, working for “your own” in life, and Unity and love with other nations. Rastas know Satan is real, so Rasta have a keen awareness of Satanic behaviors, and mindsets, and try to stay away from these as much as possible.

#7 Rasta wear their hair in Dreadlocksbobmarleytribute

Rasta wear dreadlocks. Dreadlocks are the symbol of Jah and Rastafari upon a mans or a womans head. Its something every Rasta is spiritually asked to do. Dreadlocks mean…”I love Jah, and I strive for clean living…” Bob Marley was a Famous Rasta Reggae Musician. He wore his hair is big beautiful natural Dreadlocks, and was he ever good-looking. LoL.

#8 Rasta Love Red Yellow & Green

Rastafari love the colors Red Yellow and Green together or even separate. We Rasta usually sport some type of Red Yellow and Green beaded Rasta Jewelry. Such, as a necklace, a bracelets or Earrings. Rasta love these colors as they symbolize His Imperial Majesty of Ethiopia. Makes me feel good just thinking about “Red Yellow and Green.”

#9 Rasta knows a lot about African Culture

africa ethiopia…Positivley…Rastafari people know a lot about African Culture & Black History. Rasta people love to learn about African history, traditions, Peoples and way of life.  In Fact, African Roots and Culture and Rastafari are one. I try to read books on African history and watch videos on african history because this is the history of my Ancestors, which helps me to be a more well-rounded individual. Rasta also learn about African Culture because we know that all life began in “Mother Africa.” Also King Selassie I, (Lord and Savior of Rasta People) comes from Ethiopia Africa. So, Rasta are Innately Inspired to Love Africa & Black History, and especially the History and Culture of Ethiopia.

#10 Rastas encourage you to live natural

Last, but not least…Rastafari People encourage their friends and Relatives to live a clean natural lifestyle. Rasta doesn’t like to use medications, so they may encourage you to use Herbs, meditation, vitamins, or some natural Alternative to Babylon invasive, Destructive pharmaceuticals. Rasta knows that to live natural is to the live the way that Jah, The Creator, God intended, which in turn brings us closer to him. To Embrace the Rasta Way of Life please read my book on The Rastafari Livity.

7 Reasons Why People Become Rastafari?

#1 Their Parents are Rastafari

Why people become rasta
Rastafari facts and Rasta Information

Many people become Rasta because one or, both of their parents, are Rasta. I guess its kind of like growing up in a Christian household per say, where you learn about walking in the ways of Christ etc. Only many children of Rastafari parents, learn about “The Rasta Livity” and King Selassie I. as Part of their upbringing.

#2 Bob Marley the Prophet was a Rasta

Many people desire to become Rasta to walk in the foot steps of the grow dread locksHumanitarian & prophet and Rastafari Musician,  Bob Marley wrote the song “One Love.” Many people fell in love with him through his music knowing he was being inspired by (his faith) Jah. Many people know that to be a Rasta is to show love, unity and a respect for all of nature and Jah creations.

#3 Their Born with it!

Many Rastas are Rasta because they are born with the Rasta Livity. Jah chose them at conception, then at some point in their lives they have said “yes” to this beautiful gift, they can feel yearning to manifest itself in their life. In other words for some, Rastafari was something that had written on their hearts from birth. Invisible to others, but very real in the heart and mind  the individual (Rasta).

Rasta_Way_of_Life_Cover_for_Kindle

#4 Jah Chose them to Be Rasta…

black jesus, rastaman, praying rastaI’ve heard people say “Rastafari is an inborn concept!” and it is. So, many have it since birth, however there are those who are chosen and they don’t know until later. Because (I am assuming) they were not chosen at birth, but chosen later in life. I met a guy (Rastaman) who told me that one day, “Jah just took over” he said. I was happy he shared that with me. It let me know he understood what I had inside too. Rastafari can hit at any age…so there are those who have no clue they are Rasta until the right time.

#5 It Just Makes sense to them!

People don’t want anything to do with Religion any more, but they still want to maintain a relationship with the Creator. Many people know about Rastafari through Reggae music, then research the faith.

  • Rastas are non Religious, you don’t have to attend church…
  • We believe in humility, Peace & Togetherness, we are anti war
  • We do not believe in “converting” others to believe what we believe
  • We Respect nature
  • We try to live as natural as possible
  • We believe all nations should Live together in harmony sharing land and resources

In other words, I think some people become Rasta because it is so calm and peaceful to be a Rasta. There are no real obligations, only the ones you decide for your self, as a Rasta. The basis of the faith of Rastafari is Love! So, why not… become a Rasta...it just makes spiritual sense!

#5 Their Significant other is Rasta

Rasta CoupleMany people especially women, embrace Rastafari Livity because their significant other is Rasta. More people are traveling now a days, and many people are visiting the Caribbean Islands. Because of this many people who wouldnt normally know anything about Rastafari are now getting to know Rastafari Peoples. So, some feel it makes sense for the relationship to embrace the same faith as say, their boyfriend/husband or their girlfriend/wife.

#6 Rastafari  is their Culture

jamaican flag, the jamaican flag buyMany people embrace Rastafari because it is part of their Culture. I can tell you as a Jamaican my self, Jamaica is Rastafari, and Rastafari is Jamaica, There is no separation. Rastafari is such an intricate part of Jamaican Culture that you could almost say Rastafari made Jamaica what it is today. The Jamaican Music, Jamaican Food, Jamaican People, Jamaican Landscape, & of course the culture of Jamaica is all effected by the beautiful, love of Jah – the creator.

A friend of mine, who is also Jamaican, starting embracing the livity just before I did in 2009. He came to the faith through a best friend he has known since high school. I asked how he felt now that he was Rastafari. He said “It feels good.” He seems more spiritually at peace now, and he is now a teacher of Rastafari Culture and the life of His Imperial majesty. Rastafari was always his Culture, he just needed to come in a little bit closer to get the real fruits that Jah and his Ancestors had waiting for him.

#7 To Embrace holistic Lifestyle

dreadlocks postMany people “become Rasta” because they like what Rastafari represents. The holistic lifestyle, the love of nature, meditation, Creativity, A love for Africa the Mother land of all human life…Dreadlocks (natural and simplistic, no vanity.) Rasta Smoke Marijuana instead of Carcinogenic cigarettes. Rastafari is a faith that loves all things natural, because natural means Jah.

Where is God?

black jesus, rastaman, praying rastaWhere is God? (just some rambling)

If you are like me you have asked your self this question. Well God has a place in all things, but one very important point I want to highlight is, so does Satan.

Have you ever wondered to your self….there must be one truth out of all the Religions. One faith that is the real truth of God. There just has to be….or maybe you have thought all Religions are right they just have different ways of going about getting to God and believing in heaven.

First of all God is not in Religion

I over heard a woman talking the other day saying something like “well, I am a Catholic…” I wanted so much to say, do you know there is no such thing as Catholic. But I did not bother. But really folks there is no such thing as Catholic, that is a division, in a way, and isn’t God God. Jesus was a man, he came here with a purpose, the last thing he wanted to do was have people categorizing, and dividing themselves based on him or anything else. God is in your heart, if you believe in Jesus he is in your heart too. I tell people often…I do not discuss Rastafari because I believe my spirituality is something personal, it is just for me, so I don’t discuss, it. I am not trying to convince others that I am better than them, or that they should follow my way of life. I just think if its personal keep it personal.

What good is it to you?

What good is your spirituality for you if you cannot depend on it wholly and solely for all situations. In other words, if it doesn’t give you a sense of peace, security, and a knowing that all is working to bring you into your highest light, whats really the point of embracing the faith. I am saying if you say you embrace a faith, then there is no reason to become angry, or hostile, or unsure of yourself about anything. Your faith is there for you, always working for your highest good. Well, that is how I see it.

Channeling Aliens???

I brought up the issue of beliefs because I recently met a very nice lady, who told me she is Channeling Aliens and that the aliens have all the answer to everything. I am sure this is working for her because she speaks of it in great confidence. My only problem is….what is the faith called, how do you categorize it meaning how do you know when to do what? Is it giving you peace? I quickly learned channeling and depending on the guidance of Aliens was not bringing her any peace. It answered her questions and told her how the universe began, but she seemed to have an overload of information and a great responsibility on her shoulders. I wondered about her morals and ethics too, which I soon learned…she felt it better not to have any. Example, she is 43, doesn’t mind sleeping with a man as long as he is over 18 – I mean from 21 – 72. I just think that is way too slack. Just me, I am an Empress, and I think morals, and values, keep you clean, give you clarity, and give you a direct path to Zion. Just me.

God is everywhere

God is everywhere at all times. Notice I have used the word God and not Jah. Well here is where I switch things up a bit. Let me answer the earlier question. There is one true faith. Remember when Moses came upon the burning bush. He met God. So the truth of God must be somewhere. What faith did Moses practice? What was it called? He obviously believed in God, because he met him. History books will try to steer you away from the truth by filling your head with lies and leaving many things out. When Moses was through speaking with God, he was not the same man he was before, one of the things that happened instantaneously or over time was, his hair formed into dreadlocks. I know this because that is exactly what locks represent. The King James versin bible makes many references to locks, turbans, sabbaths, incense, covenants etc. These are all related to Rastafari. Rastafari is that one truth. Religion never existed, only covenants, with a purpose, with God.

But….

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAGod….Jah is very strong in Jamaica. I know this because I know it and because when I was there his symbols were everywhere. I felt so at home, so protected like I could do no wrong. Jah 2 major symbols are the Jamaican Flag, and the Lion of Judah flag. Jamaicans have these two flags, painted on walls, hanging in shops, hanging in homes, everywhere. I love it. Jah is real, he does have a place and he does have a people, right now here on earth, that is Jamaica. All Rasta people know it.

Why am I writing this? I am writing it for the people who want to know it. I am also writing this because I want people to know if you think you can be your own God and
Channel Aliens for guidance you are kidding your self. God is real, his name is Jah. This is no Joke. The other point I wanted to make is…a lot of people don’t want to have anything to do with God because they think God is boring. Well God may be boring, but Jah is not boring. He created everything so how on earth can he be boring. Jah is very musical, creative, He loves the outdoors, and loves helping people.

Ok enough rambling…thanks. Sorry I was going to really talk about some real things, then I just rambled.

How to Be a True Rastafari

how to be a Rastahow to be a true Rastafari5 Rasta Beliefs for Children Why do Rasta cover their hair? What is  Your Rasta NameHow to Keep a Rasta happyRastafari Rules for Women

religionForget Religion!

More and more people are coming to the light of Jah Rastafari. That is good, because we are in a very sensitive time. This time and your choice of spirituality will determine your spiritual destiny. If you plan to approach Rastafari the same way you approach religion – Forget it! They are not the same. All religion is corrupt anyway.  If you approach Rastafari as a Religion and not as an awareness or way of life…you will miss the light and truth of Rastafari.

Rastafari is 3 things very simple….

  • The truth of Mankind
  • Truth of Self
  • Truth of Jah (God)

Not complicated not religion, no set prayer times….Just follow your heart.

Accept and Love our Leaders

martin luther kingIf you want to be a true Rastafari you will have to love and accept our leaders the same way we do. Rasta Salute Marcus malcolm-xGarvey, King Selassie I, Bob Marley, Malcolm X and many more Leaders in the Movement for black Rights and Freedoms. We hang their photos in our homes and teach our children about the progress they made for our rights to walk free today.

Incorporate Spirituality into your Life

I always call Rastafari “my spirituality.” Do things that feel good. Light incents and light candles, just because it feels good. Air out your home, and keep it clean. Rasta love to burn some Nag Champa.

Natural Living

Rasta lives natural. When I was my hair I let the air dry it. Even though my locks are heavy when wet, I never use a blow dryer. I use tea tree oil to clean my home, and I always use natural deodorant, and do my best to avoid wearing perfumes.

Love the Black Nation

black man black womanAll Rasta have a deep love for the black Nation. If he is Rasta and does not love the black nation, he has disrespected his Covenant. The Black Identity is the apex of the Rastafari way of life. We have a black God, we know Jesus Christ, or Yeshua was indeed black, and we celebrate African Culture in just about everything we do – daily. The black nation is Rastafari – Rastafari is the black nation.

Love King Selassie and Empress Menen

king selasse with empress menenLove King Selassie I and Empress Menen. King Selassie I was crowned in 1930 in Ethiopia as King. His wife Empress Menen was Crowned the same time. There for we give just as much respect to the two of them equally. We know King Selassie I was sent here to protect Africa. Rasta are born to love King Selassie I and Empress Menen.

Hang your Lion of Judah Flag

rastafari jamaican flag, lion of judah flagThe lion of Judah Flag with its red yellow and green with the lion is the ultimate symbol of Rastafari. The lion represents King Selassie I and the Red Yellow and Green represents African. Together they are Rastafari. Keywords of this beautiful flag are.

  • Love
  • Strength
  • Spirit
  • Victory
  • Royalty
  • Hope
  • Pride
  • Unity
  • Jah

As you can see to hang this flag in your home shows the world that you represent the truth of the God of all mankind. Jah- Ras – Tafari.

Grown your Natty and be proud

black jesusGrow your natty dreadlocks crown and be proud! Let me be honest, when you first begin this journey as Rasta, it wont be easy. But as time goes on, it gets easier. People will look down on you…but for some reason the longer your locks get the less they stare….weird. Dreadlocks symbolize the same thing as the Lion of Judah flag, the only difference is that the symbol is now on your head instead of hanging on the wall. Oh Jah we love you so.

Buy Red Yellow and Green Everything

Rasta people love Red Yellow and Green. We have just about 1 of everything in Red yellow and green. Rasta hats, Rasta scarfs, Rasta jewelry, Rasta t- shirts, Rasta Towels, Rasta clocks, I have seen it all. Usually if we cannot get it in Red yellow and green we want it with the Kings face on it. I love that I could love my spirituality so much. Jah is so good to me. You don’t even know the extent of it. Jah – Rastafari, King Selassie I. I – I.

King Selassie I of Ethiopia

King Selassie I is what Jesus Christ is to Christianity. Yes, King Selassie I was a devout Christian, but Jah has his way and Jah has his reasons. Rastas are Rasta for a reason and Rasta are Rasta with a purpose. I give thanks for the life and works of King Selassie I every day. When I think of him…I think of him as an everlasting friend and my personal Savior. Many Rasta feel this way too.

Celebration of Africa

Celebration of African Culture. Rastafari is a celebration of African and Caribbeanmalcolm-x Culture. As Rasta we celebrate every day by wearing Ethiopian colors, wearing Rasta Jewelry of natural fibers, burning incense in honor of those who walked before us. This includes Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King etc. and eating clean earth foods, such as yam, potatoes, and greens. Rastafari love African history, culture and literature too.

Gratitude for What you Have

In Rastafari, to wake up every morning and allow your self to curse is a Sin. As Rasta we are grateful for all that we have the big and the small. Every morning when you wake up you should say, thank you Jah for my bed, thank you Jah for a good nights sleep, and thank you Jah for another day.

Resist Satan

As Rasta we avoid temptations of Satan. This includes, porn, cigarettes, bars nightclubs, Lust etc. We live our lives in a way that is pleasing to the Most High Jah, and keep a tight reign on our thoughts at all times. Rasta knows all unclean behavior stems from our thinking. Keep it clean my beauties.

The Truth of Jah

Rastas know the truth about God. We are born with it. It is our Job to educate the black jesus, rastaman, praying rastapeople and guide them into living a life that reflects the life God wants for all of us. Rasta knows God is really Jah and that Jah is the light and truth of all the world. He has rules….he is not a God of slackness, Jah is God, the only God of truth, cleanliness, Zion and purity.

An “Inborn” Concept

Many people of the west view Rastafari as a Religion. That makes sense…many are not used to an inborn concept such as Rastafari. The truth is Rasta are born that way. They have the rules for living, loving, eating and worship, already written on our hearts at birth. Rastafari is a spirituality of the heart not a religion. That is why there are not that many Rastafari around,. Although many can be found in the Caribbean and Africa.

The Order of Rastafari

Rastafari is a faith of order. This can be taken figuratively and literally. In Rastafari there is a way of doing just about everything. The other way Rastafari have an order is to follow in the foot steps of King Selassie I and Empress Menen. They are our Role Models. To go against the order is to disrespect the faith. This includes but is not limited to….not swearing, having your own income, having one mate as opposed to more than one sexual partner. The order of Rastafari is written on the heart of every Rasta, man, woman and child.

Unity

Rastafari is Unity of all humanity. As Rasta because we are a spirituality of peace, we would like to see all nations come together in love and harmony. Rastafari knows that the earth was made for all and that all men are equal, but that some of us want to live from the ego and do not respect other. Unity is the Answer to many of the worlds problems.

Always forward…

As Rasta we are forward thinking and positive. I am having a hard time with this lately but, I know it is the right thing. Life is too short to dwell on the past and think negative. As Rasta we look forward to the future, and try to keep positive. Babylon is a hard place for a person who wants to live righteous and clean. Keep the mind and Jah, take time to meditate and keep trodding on.

Love

To Rasta, love makes life better. Through love we get happiness, understanding, unity, peace, respect, honor support….Rastafari know all good things for all people come from love. We need more love in the world. Rastafari is the rasta dating and marriagerighteous way of life.

Blessed. Rastafari.

White Rastafari – The Book

White_Rastafari_Cover_for_Kindle - CopyHello everyone! Welcome to my blog. I have written a book. Its called White Rastafari. I also have a book called how to become a Rasta. I think White Rastafari is a greatbook because its very informative and it is the 3 book I have written, therefor now I have more experienc knowing what peopole want to learn about Rastafari.

Table of Contents; ‘White Rastafari’ the Book

  • The Truth about Bob Marley;
  • Emperor Haile Selassie
  • The first Rastaman,
  • What is Black?
  • Can a white person be Rastafari?
  • The Rastafari Holy Sabbath,
  • 10 Facts Every Rasta Knows
  • 10 Great Black Inventions *
  • Jah,
  • 10 Principles of Rastafari, 10 commandments of Jah
  • Rastafari Websites & Books

Here is the beginning of the book;

“…Yes a white person can be a Rastafari because, it’s not so much about the color of the person’s skin, it is about the heart of the person. Jah sees and knows all things. He knows if we are good, or if we allow our selves to be instruments of Satan. White people are also chosen as Rastafari, in the same way that black Rasta are chosen. White Rasta do not have different practices than black Rasta. Everything is the same. White Rasta, praise King Selassie I, They eat Ital Rasta food, They listen to Rasta Reggae music, they burn nag Champa incents, everything is the same. Jah does not look at the person’s skin color when he chooses his messengers, he looks at the heart.

White Rastafari are special!

Did you know that to black Rastafari people, white Rastafari people are special? Here is why. White people are not expected to have dreadlocks, so when they do, black Rasta find it very appealing. We are intrigued that even though to wear dreadlocks is not the way of your people, Still you choose to wear the hair in Dreadlocks. Black Rasta may want to learn More about the way you live. As white Rastafari, you can expect that many black Rasta will approach you for conversation, and friendship…”

Here is another excerpt

“…I want to embrace this way of life, but I have questions

Many white people who wish to embrace Rastafari have questions, and rightfully so. This book was designed to answer those questions, so that you may feel informed before embracing this way of life. Lets look at some common questions concerning Rastafari.

•       Why do Rasta say that King Selassie I is God?

•       Why is it mostly black people who embrace this way of life?

•       What are the beliefs and principles of the Rastafari people?

•       How do I know Rastafari is Right for me?

Jamaican Rastafari Empress Diary

“Today” – October 31 2012 (Halloween)

today it rained all day.

today while I was getting dressed, I took a moment to ask my self, how can I enjoy to the fullest the day today.

don’t think about yesterday, don’t wonder what is to come tomorrow, just enjoy today.

Today I had a wonderful day.

“yesterday” – October 31 2012 (Halloween)

yesterday I wrote a song while I was brushing my teeth

brush your teeth, everyday

stay away from tooth decay

you will be a better adult

if you get cavities it will be your fault…

that was yesterday.

“I ponder”…- October 31 2012 (Halloween)

I ponder so many things, mostly having to do with ethnicity.

Some people really don’t see color. But most of really do.

I am guilty.

I ponder…why certain people think I need them to make decisions for me concerning my life.

when they have not even a clue what its like to be me

they chalk me up to ‘stupid’ otherwise they wouldn’t think I need them, would they?

just ignorance…really.

“I had a good day today”- October 31 2012 (Halloween)

I wrote a poem

I chose a domain name for my new website

I had good conversation over lunch

I decide u make money by giving people what they want

I listened to my favorite song ‘caution’ by Bob Marley

I realized not all people think the same

I am a little tired but I had a good day today.

“Rastafari a Curse?” – November 1st 2012

I used to think being born Rastafari was a curse.

because no body understood me I felt like a freak.

Now I know there is no bigger honor among men.

Jah bless me every day.

I must do what I know is right as Rasta Empress. This is the one and only way I can find happiness in a very corrupt system that is against all that I stand for, Rastafari.

Sometimes I wish my people could feel even a fraction of what I feel.

The love that I have for Jamaica, the way  I feel so blessed to stare at a  Jamaican mountain, the way I feel clean clear and free, when I even think of a Jamaican beach. Jamaica is my home, the home I never lived in, but know in my heart Jah destined me to live there.

When I am having a bad day, I play the song caution by Bob Marley and all of a sudden I feel 100 percent. It makes me think of driving really fast in a Jamaican mini bus, with all the windows wound all the way down, and the hot Jamaican air blasting in my face. Could there really be any thing better than that? Well yes…going to a Jamaican night club in Jamaica that plays only Rasta Reggae music, and watching all the people move rhythmically the same, but all doing a different dance…this makes me high,. I also enjoy watching the women hold their beer in their hand while they whine slowly to the nice roots rock and reggae. Jah knows I love Jamaica. He made me that way.

It’s not good to work for Satan. Jah made me born with the formula of how to get into heaven,. Can you believe I don’t practice it – for now anyway. I miss those days. But as long as I know it…I am aware of it when a violation comes into my path, that’s most important.

the other day I was getting all excited and ready to start watching a horror movie, it was called, scary or die. So I put the movie in my laptop…It started out that these three people were driving in a pick up truck…then they stopped and had some immigrants hidden and bound in the back of the truck. They proceed to let them out and let them run across the border aimless in the hot heat…then one guy that was in the truck, shot and killed the first older man who started running….that is when I decided that this movie wasnt for me…but I did watch some more…then they shot and killed the other mexican immigrant too. The blood even though I know it was fake disturbed me. Rastafari does not allow me to watch such things. Too much corruption for the mind, I then took the DVD out and called it a night. I

am just rambling any way. I had a nice day today though. I can’t see for the life of me what time I will fall asleep tonight. I am so wound up for some reason.

The Rasta Prayers

The Rasta prayers are intended to activate the powers of the Most High, to help one find help and healing during a time of distress, need or comfort. These names are used to invoke high, clean, positive constructive, spiritual energy.

The Bible Psalms

Read the Psalms scripture that follow each prayer, to help further activate and communicate your need, to Jah Rastafari for help, protection, healing, and strength.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

To the Almighty Creator. You love me and forgive me, always. Your mercy is as big as your Majesty.  In you I put all my faith and all my trust, you are there for me even before I need you.

Jah Jah sees and knows all things, he will reveal to me the path that is just right for me for my personal financial prosperity.

Self Love

Jah made me complete, Jah made me whole. Therefore in his eyes I am perfect. Today I will love my self and see my self Just as The Almighty Creator does – as His masterfully created beautiful perfect being.

 —

Loss

‘Jah Jah you see the loss that I am facing, and you know how this loss has effected my heart. Jah please give me relief from this loss, help me to see each day anew, and instill in me forward perspective.’

Jah Jah sees and knows all things. He wants me to depend on me. In the past I have suffered a loss, but now with the guiding light and love of Jah The Almighty, I am looking forward to a brand new day and more opportunities to be an instrument of Jah. Sometimes loss, is an opportunity to work for Jah the Almighty, in disguise.

 —

Anger

‘Jah Jah, please remove these feelings of anger from my heart. Please fill me with your living light so that I may be uplifted and free. Jah Jah, walk with me each and every day that may be a clear example of your love in action.’

I put my faith and trust in Jah that in his time and in his great wisdom, he will rectify the situation hand with my enemies. Jah Jah is the great equalizer.

 —

Healing

“Jah Jah, you see and you know my heart. Right now I need some healing, oh Most High. Please, heal my heart. Plant your seed of renewal and hope inside my heart dear Jah. In your name, I seek healing to start a new.”

Jah Jah is the creator, he sees and knows all things. He wants me to cast my troubles upon him, he has the power to heal me. All my faith and trust is in Jah the Almighty.

Fresh Start

‘Jah Jah, Just like you created the Garden of Eden to bloom a new, I ask Jah Jah for a fresh new start. Bless me so that my mind nor my heart will not be weighed down by troubles or concerns of the past. Bless me so that I may look forward to taking a new step forward, on a brand new horizon.’

Jah Jah, is the creator, he builds a new. By the birth of new born babies to the rise of a new sun each day. I know he is constantly serving humanity, with his love and his new beginnings.

Overwhelmed

‘Jah Jah, I am feeling overwhelmed at this time. I know all things come to “pass.” Therefor I ask that you please lift this feeling of being overwhelmed from me, until this time has passed. Bless me Jah, that I may feel free, and light, once again.’

Jah Jah, created me, he never leaves me alone. I cast all my troubles upon him, for he has the Almighty power to handle all that I with human abilities cannot.

 —

Hopelessness

‘Jah Jah at this time I am feeling hopeless. Please help me to feel a new. Place it in my heart that all that is happening around me is happening for your Higher Purpose. I remain steadfast, that you are watching over all things Jah Jah.’

Jah Jah, I know you designed my for greatness, I will remain steadfast, until the tide has turned.

Feeling Unloved

‘Jah Jah, please help me. I am feeling unloved. Jah Jah, I know you never leave me, I know your presence, is everlasting. I know you are always there and hear my every request, for I am your child.’

Jah is the Almighty. He has powers and abilities to heal and help me. Jah has the ability to love and accept me, in ways that no human can. In Jah I am always loved.

 —

Addiction(s)

‘Jah Jah, you see and you know my heart. Jah please help me to turn my addiction to …around. Please eliminate the urge to ….from my heart mind and body, oh Jah. You are the great creator and the great healer.’

Jah knows Satan has many temptation in our path, with the love and light of Jah all can be over come, I trust the Almighty, to release Satan’s hold on me… and to release me from this addiction.

Sexual Temptations

‘Jah Jah, please remove these lustful thoughts, feelings and desires from me. Help me to walk in your light of self control, Self love, and Self Confidence. Please Jah Jah bless me to start a new.’

Jah, gives me self control, Jah gives me self love, I need not be temped by lust and promiscuous sins of Satan.

 —

Protection

‘Jah Jah, you hold the light. The light of truth. Please protect me oh Jah from….’

Jah Jah, holds the power of the light of truth and love in all things. In Jah light, as long as I have a clean heart, his light surrounds me and protects me from evil day and night.

Self Improvement

‘Jah Jah, when you made me I was perfect, please put me on the path to become more like the day you made me. In you Jah Jah I seek to improve my self, please put your hand on my heart in order that I may fulfill this desire.’

Jah Jah loves me and wants me to be my best at all times, with his love, and guidance, self-improvement is inevitable.

Rastafari: light of truth for all Nations

I am a Rastafari woman. This was not a choice on my part, I was born this way. I am here to deliver a message. The message I have is for black people, with the reality of black slavery, black people need something to remind them of who they were before, who they are suppose to be, and to bring them back to their true way of life…loving the Almighty every day, and loving our selves.

Rastafari is a soul thing. I can only equate it to a computer that you get with all the programs already downloaded. It is out of my head, not my soul, not from my present download, that I am considering writing a book on “white Rastafari” I started to write it….I question how much to include slavery. If I write a book for white people and leave out slavery…then I wont be doing anybody any favours. Besides I feel that in order for whites to truly accept and receive the light of Rastafari they will need to know why the realities of the black struggle. If I leave this out, then I am not helping to close the gap of difference, and misunderstanding between black people and white people. Heres what it really boils down to. There are white people who already have the light of Rastafari, because they have chosen to. Then there are who know nothing about people of color. Some choose this way of life, other would like to learn more.

Because Rastafari is spiritual truth for all people, I decided I should choose to share my knowledge wisdom and awareness that Jah has given me, with all the world. It’s not good for people to live their entire life under a lie. I feel if white people know about Rastafari and follow it…perhaps their life will be more fulfilling more meaningful. One of the worst things a man can do, is to feel he knows everything already. This will only make him dumb.

My priority is to bring this light to black people…then to everyone else. Remember I was sent (born) to bring this light to black people. So, this is not some discriminatory choice that I am making.

It would be nice however it people would share with me what they would like to learn in such a book. I have my own Ideas, but i would love to know yours. Imagine a world without Racism. Really racism is just a lack of knowledge, and experience. Although some choose to be in this head space for whatever reason. Then others want to live a positive life, so they can feel clean and free in the heart. Ok I am rambling.

Jah Bless

Rastafari is the truth

Love and Light.

5 Guidelines to Enter Holy Mount Zion

Honour and Respect Others

Honour and speak highly of those around you, Come Judgement day Jah will judge you based on how you treat and speak of others.

Resist Temptation

Resist temptation in Babylon. Temptation means opportunites to perform acts on behalf of Satan, each and every time no exception. Temptation comes in many forms.

  • Lust
  • Lying
  • Stealing
  • Cheating
  • Infidelity
  • Promiscuity
  • Addictions
  • Vulgarity
  • Swearing

Resist the urge to follow the ways of Satan, and embrace the way of The Most High. When you have the thought, to do these things, resist, and do something productive, and honourable in the eyes of Jah, the Almighty.

Honour Your Temple

Honour your Temple (your body), by eating clean foods, and resisting all forms of  sexual defilement, including sexual addictions. Jah does not like Immoral behavior or disrespect of his temple.

Read your Bible Daily 1 hour

Read your bible daily for 1 hour, this will help you keep your mind on the concerns of the Almighty, instead of the concerns of Babylon. Jah finds favour with those whom tresure their bible and keep his word.

Avoid so called “Fun”

People are doing many things in the name of “fun.” “Fun” can get Rasta into trouble. Do not as Rasta…

  • Go to bars clubs unless it is Rastafari or Jamaican oriented
  • Gossip about others
  • Experiment with sex
  • Make fun of other people
  • Get into arguments with others
  • Stand up on the road side hanging out (idoling)

Rastafari are in the bible

As Born Rasta We have the Rastafari livity written on our hearts, we read the bible to raise our spiritual vibration, and to induce meditation. But there are many references to RAstafari and black culutre, I believe that were removed from the Christian bible over time.

Instead of following the desires of Satan, concern your self with being productive and making a positive contribution to society as Rasta. As Rasta enjoyment means…

Bible study

  • Chattign with other Rasta
  • Building Rasta Buisness
  • Meditation
  • Contemplation
  • Cleaning the house (spiritual space)
  • Listenting to some Rasta Reggae Music
  • Teaching our Young ones the Livity
  • Watchin educational DVDs on black culture

Jah Say…

All with a clean heart are invited into Zion, but only those who Resist Temptation of Satan, and make rememberance of me each day may be able to enter Mount Zion.

Just as the Christian bible says:  For many are called, but few are chosen.

No More Black Woman and Black Man Love Relationships?

Was it just survival?

Do you think you could find more black man and black woman relationships in the 80s and before because it was an issue of survival? We as a people were still fighting for our rights so to speak during those times. I’m still not sure if I can say we are in the clear. But maybe a lot of black men and black women feel a lot more free pardon the pun, to be who they are and therefore feel like they don’t have to have a black person by their side helping them to fight the fight any more.

What about those who are single and black and who today want to marry within the black nation. Is this something of past. Are these people shit out of luck. If they are you can count me in.

More black men date white

More and more black men now days are opting to date and marry non black women. It makes for slim pickings for a woman like me who refuses to be with someone of a different ethnicity than her, Why you may be asking. Its something that is important to me. It’s who I am, carried, on. I want to mate black to produce black because I am so in love with my culture and my people.

More black women interracial date

Many black women are opting to date outside the black race to, however I feel their reasoning is a little different from the black mans. I feel many black woman are doing this because frankly the black men leave them no other choice since black men are no longer choosing to date black women and b a lot of black women are dating outside their race because they seem to mixing and mingling more outside of the black community and it is a common occurence to date interracial these days.

The matter of respect for black women

I feel like the interracial mixing between white men and black women is more underground, or less public and that the interracial dating and marrying of white women to black men is more mainstream. I feel like the black woman who dates out side of her race does not get the same respect as the black man who dates out side his race

I feel like the black woman is seen as a sell out, where the black man is seen as making the right choice and doing what every man should be doing. When I look at it from the outside. I feel the black woman benefits the most. But maybe that is just my own biased opinion, you figure it out.

what am I to the black man now?

Sometimes I wonder just exactly what I am suppose to be to a  black man who now exclusively sleeps with women non black. I actually have someone in my life like that now. It make for alot of arguments. I think he likes me as a friend because I am the only women in his life who doesn nto want to have sex with him.

I need a black Rasta man!

Being Rastafari, not just cause  a man is black it means I want him. Oh No! he must be Rasta. A true Rasta, and also not too tall please….lol then I may want him. This friend of mine is confusing, the whole friendship is confusing. We had a terrible argument the other day and I said some pretty bad things. oh well.

Black men hate black women now

There are black men nowadays that hate black women so much so they want to show black women how much they hate them. It happens to me all the time. I just turn my head. There are some white women who are extremely jealous of black women’s DNA. The whole thing is diabolical.

Are black men brainwashed?

I am a black woman who loves black, I seek to date and marry black. I don’t have any thing to prove to anybody. I love my self. I feel hurt that black men seek to date out side of their race and feel some how they are better than black woman or that they want to cause pain to black woman. All in all its their own self hate. This is brainwashing at its best folks.

King Selassie married black

What happened to the days of King Selassie and his wife Empress Menen. Another example of a black man and black woman who loved each other. King Selassie married Black. He is seen as a Role model to many Rastafari men.

White girls and Black Rastas

I was having a conversation with a white female friend of mine one day….she asked something I can’t remember the question, my reply to her was “I wont answer that” She said “Why cause true Rastas don’t date white girls…” I looked at her with absolute shock. I said oh my gosh who told you that. She said this girl she use to know. I was shocked to hear that out of her mouth. But then she kept say “right, right?” I told her “yes, real Rastamen do not date white women” she said see I know you don’t have to hide it from me. She said “why” I said “its to keep the blood lines pure”

In Rastafari we have believed in this for a long time. But from years ago you would find Rastamen who did date white women. But there are many who refuse. There are some who do it for financial gain but are not happy in the relationship. Then there are some who wont even let the thought enter their minds.

Which Rastas date white?

Anyway I just find it sad to see that more and more black men are opting not to date black women. the only men that I can see that date black women exclusively are Rastamen, and that’s only some of them. It seems the ones that come from the smaller islands date white women abundantly. Many Jamaican Rasta who live in Jamaica are still interested in black women.

hm well, everybody can do as they like, it is a free country and its 2011. Time for people to make their own decisions and choices concerning love. The time of Black Unity, has ended.

Peace and blessings to all who read this. Unity for all, Jah Ras Tafari

Rastafari, Book Writing, New Website, More Jah Truth

Hello and Welcome to my Blog on Rastafari and Jamaican Culture. For those of you who don’t know me my name is Yuajah and I am a Rasta. Rastafari is my spirituality, my mission is to educate others on what it means to be a Rasta and to have self-pride self-love and self-awareness.

I am writing a new Rasta book

I am writing a new book. This is actually my second book. My first book is called “How to Become a Rasta.”  You can buy it as an e-book by clicking the link. My second Book is called “Rastafari, spirituality for African-Americans” or something very close to that. I wanted to let you know that, in case you were wondering why I havent created any new posts. I don’t want abandon my responsibilities. My master piece will be well worth the wait. “Rastafari, Spirituality for African-Americans.” Is my heart. It should be available online at amazon.com by late April 2012.

I have a new Rasta website

I have a new Rastafari website. Ok not a new website, but the old one made new. I am sure this is a shock for some people, because it was definitely a shock for me. lol. I hope you like the new design. It was very hard to select, and I wanted to make it just right for my site visitors. One cool thing about the new design is your can sign up to mingle with other members. Hopefully every is working smoothly with that. Just look on the top tool bar, to sign up.

More Jah truth

I have made a decision. I am not going to pussy foot around any more. I was pussy footing around before….but no more. I am going to blog about Rastafari the way that it is written on my heart. I wont say things to make people happy. Much of what I am gonna say is very controversial. Hey, maybe I will make more enemies than friends. On life to live right. I gotta be me. Please no I am not intentionally trying to hurt people. It’s just that I have a message to deliver, and if I keep “being nice” people will not get my point. Ok ok, I will be nice, I will just be selective about what I say. Just as the late great Bob Marley.

What is a Rasta?

A Rasta is someone who has knowledge about certain things in life. You are wondering what on earth I am talking about. Well one thing is thing. (belief) if you want to call it that. Your life should be your own. It was given to your by Jah to do as you like. Only you can stand before the Almighty at Judgement time. Many people do not appreciate my lifestyle. I think even those who know me, wonder “what is a Rasta” any way. It is not only about dreadlocks, it’s about living life, the right way, the clean way, the way Jah the almighty intended. I leave it there, I know my beliefs can sound radical to some, but they are mine and I stick to them. Not only that I have a responsibility to my ancestors to remind people of where they are coming from, and to educate others on my spiritual way of life.

That’s it!

That is mostly what I wanted to share with you. Check out the videos on the far right. Sign up to the jamaicanrastafarianlove.com online community, buy “How to Become a Rasta” and educate other with what you learn. Put love first in all things, remember Jah is watching….clean heart good intentions.

Jah Rastafari.
