THE CHOICE OF RASTAFARI

Rastafari has specially selected every Rasta, however that Rasta must also choose Rastafari to reap the rewards. It is a two way spiritual street. A Rasta man can be “powerful” or “weak” depending upon how deep he chooses to live and embrace the faith.

Every Rasta knows within themselves if their life is a Reflection of their spiritual beliefs that puts the will and the works of Jah first. When this happens the Rasta woman or Rasta man will be powerful, peaceful, confident and content.

Rastafari is a spiritual gift, if you want to see its power working in your life, you will have to work Rastafari in your life.

May you meet Jah on your Journey, May you know his might and his blessings. Rastafari, King Selassie I.

IMPORTANCE OF KING SELASSIE I AND EMPRESS MENEN IN RASTAFARI

As an aspiring Rasta, You may be wondering about the importance and meaning of King Selassie I and Empress Menen in the Rastafari faith. What role do they play? Why are they so important?  The following is 5  reasons…

IMPORTANCE OF KING SELASSIE I AND EMPRESS MENEN IN RASTAFARI

#1 Royalty and Self Respect

The life and crowning of King Selassie I and Empress Menen in Rastafari, is to demonstrate Royalty, Self Respect

By the example set by the crowning and Relationship of King Selassie I and Empress Menen, Rasta maintain a high standard for ourselves in all things. From the clothing that we choose to wear, to the way we speak, the friendships we keep, and the way we choose to live and view our lives.  Rasta emulates the life and standards of King Alpha and Queen Omega at all times.

How to Emulate “the King & Queen” as Rasta

King Selassie I is the Role Model for the Rasta man, and Empress Menen is the Role Model for the Rasta woman. Some of the ways we as Rasta Emulate the King and Queen are…

Maintaining cordial relationships with others including those who we may consider “difficult to deal with” or whom we may consider to be our “enemies.”

  • Expressing Love and appreciation for our Kingman and Empress as Creations of Jah
  • Speak using consideration for the sensitivity for hearts and minds others

IMPORTANCE OF KING SELASSIE I AND EMPRESS MENEN IN RASTAFARI

 # 2 the Royal Lineage of  King Solomon

Another reason King Selassie I is so important in Rastafari culture is to put a face to the Royal Lineage of King Solomon.

King Selassie I is the 225 direct descendent to sit up on the throne of King David, which was also occupied by the wise King Solomon, who is King David’s son.

Rastafari Legend has it that, The Queen of Sheba and The Wise King Solomon made love and had a baby boy which was named Menilik, who became “King Menelik I.” King Menilik had a son “King Menelik II,” who is King Selassie I uncle. King Selassie I and King Menelik are of “the tribe of Judah,” which is part of biblical Royal history, related to King Solomon.

As Rasta we pay our Respects to King Selassie I as the face of Jah, and all the ordained Kings of the Tribe of Judah.

IMPORTANCE OF KING SELASSIE I AND EMPRESS MENEN IN RASTAFARI # 3

#4 Royal energy in the home

As stated Earlier images of “the King and Queen” as Rasta are reminders of our own Royal Heritage. For this reason Rasta love to have images of the King and Queen in every room in thier home. Including Wall hangings, plaqued photos of the King and Queen, Rastafari mugs, clocks with the Kings face, framed speeches by King Selassie I etc. Rasta believe and feel these Royal images of the King Selassie I and Empress Menen brings positive spiritual Energy into the home and into our lives.

IMPORTANCE OF KING SELASSIE I AND EMPRESS MENEN IN RASTAFARI

#4 Demonstrate Positive history and Heritage

Another Reason Empress Menen and King Selassie I have so much importance in Rastafari culture is that they demonstrate positive African history and heritage.

King Selassie I and Empress Menen were crowned November 2nd 1930. As former slaves, black people have had a hard time in Babylon recovering  the whole truth about our heritage and our history. Many black youth in school only learn that black people were slaves. Not much before black slavery and not much after black slavery, and not much about our contributions to society as a nation.

There were many photos taken of the life of the King and Queen. Jah ordained the crowning of King Selassie I and Empress Menen so that Black people have a positive black role model couple (male and female) after black slavery was abolished. All though the King and Queen are from Africa, and ruled over Ethiopia, in Rastafari, they represent positive role models ordained by Jah for all people of all Nations.

IMPORTANCE OF KING SELASSIE I AND EMPRESS MENEN IN RASTAFARI

# 5 Equality of the Sexes

In the Rastafari Livity, Men and Women are seen as equal, because, the same day

(November 2nd 1930)  King Selassie I was crowned King of Ethiopia, Empress Menen was also crowned, Queen of Ethiopia during the same coronation.

King Selassie I is also known as “The King of Kings” and Empress Menen is also known as “The Queen of Queens” in Rastafari Culture.

IMPORTANCE OF KING SELASSIE I AND EMPRESS MENEN IN RASTAFARI

be a rasta

#6 Self Reliance & Legacy

The King and Queen through hard work and determination created a Legacy between them. King Selassie I created schools in his name, ……..Because of this example Rasta also like to build things in our name that people can utilize positively and that carries the name of Rastafari for generations. Bob Marleys legacy was his music and his message. Through his work, he was also self reliant. He left a legacy for his children, and his children’s children.

The Importance of King Selassie I and Empress Menen in Rastafari Re-cap

  • Generate powerful positive energy through images and words of King Selassie I and Empress Menen displayed in the home
  • Demonstrate positive African history and heritage, and positive African role models to Africans and the World
  • Demonstrate what an image of self respect and dignity looks like in order for one to emulate it
  • To put a face to the Royal lineage of King David and his son King Solomon
  1. Equality of the Sexes: Teach Rasta equality of the sexes. Both King Selassie I and Empress Menen were crowned November 2nd King Selassie I as “King of Kings…” and Empress Menen as “Queen of Queens…”
  • Self Reliance & Legacy: The King and Queen demonstrate to Rasta to Create our own work

6 STEPS TO CONVERT TO RASTAFARI

Many people who want to embrace the faith of Rastafari wonder, “just how do I convert to Rastafari?” The answer is, there is no right or wrong way to Convert to Rastafari. As a Rastafari myself having taken my vow just 7 years ago, there was some inner spiritual things I did, coupled with some outer changes to my environment and lifestyle that helped me to convert my spiritual beliefs from Christianity to Rastafari.

How to Convert to Rastafari

how to convert to Rastafari

bob marley rastaBefore you convert to Rastafari there are some things you should know. I really don’t know how far along you are in your journey, but I will share this information with you as if you are just starting out.

Rastafari is a Journey….

rasta-mediation-handbook-book-coverThere will be trials and tribulations as Rasta. Some people don’t like people with locks. They may judge you as lazy, or dirty, or militant, or out of touch with reality. Rasta knows loving Jah is all about the journey, we accept the good with the bad, always looking forward to Zion. So…Just so you know.

Rastas are trying to enter Zion….

It is the goal of Every Rasta to enter Holy Mount Zion. We do this by adhering to the rules of Jah laid out for our lives, in the bible. Rastas have a few “extra” rules of the Rastafari livity that are not in the bible that have been spiritually inherited, that have more or equal importance. Zion is a place where Jah roams and piece abounds.

how to become a rastafari king

Rasta love Africa/Ethiopiaafrica ethiopia

Rasta love African Culture and African Peoples. We honour Africa by studying the history and Culture, and embracing the African Peoples. Rasta have a soft spot for Ethiopia and Ethiopian Peoples as our “Lord and Savior” King Selassie I is from Ethiopia, so our love of Africa is always in our Hearts, and on our minds. .

Rasta Love King Selassie I

rasta god, selassieKing Selassie I defended the Garden of Eden, the land where Jah placed his first man and woman that he made (Adam and Eve) as it is written in Genesis. For this Reason, Rasta know, King Selassie I was raised up by Jah to perform this very important task. King Selassie I is whats refered to in the bible as Jah “Elect.” So, Rasta know King Selassie I had a heart for Jah. That he listened to Jah, Loved Jah, and dedicated his life to SERVING Jah. For these reasons Rasta Love King Selassie I because we know that King Selassie I is the face of Jah for those who want to see the face of Jah. King Thanks and praises….Rastafari.

Rastas are the King James Version Bible….

Rastas are the King James Version Bible. I say are because loving Jah is the life you live. Every Faucet of your life. There are no exceptions. Rasta think Jah. Rasta love Jah. Rasta Serve Jah. Rasta dress Jah. Rasta need Jah. Rastas are humble before Jah. The King James Version bible gives guidelines and advice for all that concerns us, Rasta in life. Read the King James Version bible from beginning to end. Then Keep rereading it, from beginning to end, for the rest of your life. This is what Rasta do. We, Rasta are the King James Version Bible….Living by the words inside….accepting the wisdom and comfort as it comes too natural by absorbing the words of Jah.

No Conversion to Rastafari….!?

There is really know conversion into Rastafari. But It all depends how  you measure this. I measure a Rasta by his willingness to live by all aspects of the faith and have an unwavering dedication to it. For some its having all the knowledge you possibly can about The Rastafari Livity. Rastafari is a way of life not a Religion. There is no physical conversion… so to speak.

Book to Test your Self on Rastafari

I am in the process of completing a book to help those who seriously want to know what Rasta know…and to understand the Rastafari Livity from 51fQ7SPHsSL._SX311_BO1,204,203,200_Biblical times, and how that plays into Rasta of Today. I have also included some information about Bob Marley and Marcus Garvey and The Life of King Selassie I. It comes with Test Questions so that you can read the text and then test your self. I intend to write this book so that you will be able to absorb the most import chapters of all my books, including “How to Become a Rasta” & “Rasta Way of Life” and come away knowing that you are now Rasta!

To convert to Rastafari a person needs 3 basic things…

  1. To absorb as much information as possible. From a person or books.
  2. Lock his/her hair. Allow hair to grow into Dreadlocks
  3. Live the Rastafari Livity without any exceptions. Because if you break the chain “you are still Babylon.”

If Converting to Rastafari to you means, being able to “Reason” (share perspectives on Africa and the Livity and the King James Version Bible) as many Rasta do from time to time…then this book is for you. I hope to be finished by September 1st. Give Thanks. King Selassie I.

Blessings of Wisdom

18 My child, from your youth choose discipline,

and when you have gray hair you will still find wisdom.

19 Come to her like one who plows and sows,

and wait for her good harvest.

For when you cultivate her you will toil but little,

and soon you will eat of her produce.

20 She seems very harsh to the undisciplined;

   fools cannot remain with her.

21 She will be like a heavy stone to test them,

and they will not delay in casting her aside.

22 For wisdom is like her name;

she is not readily perceived by many.

23 Listen, my child, and accept my judgment;

   do not reject my counsel.

24 Put your feet into her fetters,

and your neck into her collar.

25 Bend your shoulders and carry her,

and do not fret under her bonds.

26 Come to her with all your soul,

and keep her ways with all your might.

27 Search out and seek, and she will become known to you;

and when you get hold of her, do not let her go.

28 For at last you will find the rest she gives,

and she will be changed into joy for you.

29 Then her fetters will become for you a strong defense,

and her collar a glorious robe.

30 Her yoke[c] is a golden ornament,

and her bonds a purple cord.

31 You will wear her like a glorious robe,

and put her on like a splendid crown.[d]

32 If you are willing, my child, you can be disciplined,

and if you apply yourself you will become clever.

33 If you love to listen you will gain knowledge,

and if you pay attention you will become wise.

34 Stand in the company of the elders.

Who is wise? Attach yourself to such a one.

35 Be ready to listen to every godly discourse,

and let no wise proverbs escape you.

36 If you see an intelligent person, rise early to visit him;

let your foot wear out his doorstep.

37 Reflect on the statutes of the Lord,

and meditate at all times on his commandments.

It is he who will give insight to[e] your mind,

and your desire for wisdom will be granted.

What is Rastafari?

Rastafari is a daily celebration of African Roots and Culture. The purpose of Rastafari is to guide one to live clean and pure that a person may be deemed “fit” (by Jah) to Enter Holy Mount Zion.

What is a Rasta?

A Rasta is someone who adheres to the Rastafari Livity (way of life). Rasta are “called” to carry “the light” of Jah Rastafari, and to deliver “the message” of this  way of life to others. By this we can see that to embrace the Rastafari way of life  is a responsibility and commitment of the heart.

Beliefs of Rasta about God?

Rasta know that God is Jah. that Jah is an “African” Spirit. That he is very loving, forgiving and very powerful. Rasta “know”that Jah created heaven and earth, the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, and he parted the Red Sea for the Israelites. “Jah” is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob spoken about in the scriptures of the Christian Bible. Jah “Raised up” King Selassie I as his Elect, to protect the Garden of Eden.

What is The Rastafari Livity?

The Rastafari Livity is a Celebration of African Roots and Culture that honors Jah. Rasta live life daily in all things they do to honor and show love for Jah, Jah Elect and Jah Creations. From the food that is cooked (Ital) clean and natural, to the way we wear our hair (in dreadlocks)fuss and vanity free, to the colors that we wear (Red Yellow and Green).  Rasta Livity is a commitment of love and honour to and for Jah, the Almighty Creator of all living things all the days of our life.

The Spiritual Duty of Rasta

472d67be890623d093bc2ea5faf2fa72.jpg

To love

As Rasta it is our Job to show love. Rasta do not reject love in any form. If someone asks us to do them a favor, we do it…to show even more love. If someone wants to give a Rasta a hug we  do not refuse it. Some more ways Rasta show love is by being there for our friends and families, and Spending time in and surrounded by nature, to show Jah, the creator we love and appreciate the land he has given us. As Rasta showing love is one of the ways  how we honour Jah.

To Live Free

To live Free as Rasta is very important. Rasta believe life should have no restrictions. As long as a person is not “hurting life” or “taking life”, one should

live as one chooses. “Freedom” in life is the  basis for being one with Jah. Freedom to love and honour  Jah, Freedom to Roam, freedom to spend our spiritual time as we choose… Just how Jah, the creator, intended!

To Be a Servant of Jah

jesushand0.jpg

To fulfill the duty of Rasta as Jah servant is very simple.Iit means helping and loving other people. As Rasta we see ourselves as “extensions” of Jah helping hand, heres on earth. Rasta allows Jah to “use us” as his instruments, to provide help, hope assistance whenever the opportunity presents itself. Rasta always say “yes” to opening the door for others, to carrying a grocery bag, to lending money to those who ask. It is the duty of Rasta to Serve Jah by serving his creations (others)

To Enter Holy Mount Zion

The Purpose of the Rastafari Livity is to provide a guide for those who desire to enter Zion (heaven). Zion is where Jah, the Most High roams. There is only love, peace, light, freedom, wholeness, and Jah “light” in Zion. Only those with clean loving, Hearts can enter Zion. It is our Duty as Rasta, to follow Rastafari way of life, as our Guide.. so that our soul may enter Holy Mount Zion.

That was the first portion of the book. I was too excited. I had to share some of it with you. It is not available for purchase just yet. At this rate it will be finished in 1 to 2 weeks.

Read Rasta Way of Life on Amazon.com

Blessed Love to all.

May Jah Guide you and protect you on this life Journey.

Here is an excerpt from my new book Jah Rastafari Beliefs and Way of life

WHY ARE YOU A RASTA?

This section is for those new to Rastafari who may be concerned about what to say when asked “Why are you a Rasta?” Here is a suggestion on how to respond. It has two parts.

Why are you a Rasta?

Response:

“I know that King Selassie I is the King of all Kings talked about in Revelation 5:5”

The King James Version bible says…

“…weep not: behold, the lion of the tribe of

Judah, the root of David, hath prevailed to open thebook, and loose the seven seals…”

Why are you a Rasta?

Response:

King Selassie I crowing title is…“King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Elect of God.”

See how it matches up perfectly? Wikipedia it!

4 PILLARS OF RASTAFARI HEALTH

In Rastafari culture, good health is an all encompassing endeavor. We believe that good health is a result of…

  1. Healthy choices for the temple
  2. A calm spirit and calm mind
  3. Healthy relationships with others
  4. A close personal relationship with the Jah

RASTAFARI HEALTH PILLAR

Healthy choices for the temple

Rasta do not ingest pharmaceuticals (into the temple)

As Rasta we do everything natural as much as we possibly can. The reason is that we feel that Jah made man, and when he made man he gave them natural roots and herbs for their ailments. Jah did not create pharmaceuticals. Rasta takes herbs, roots and vitamins for most health issues. Many of us have natural health and healing books readily available in our homes. Rasta knows that Babylon created pharmaceuticals to keep making people take them (keep making people sick) so that they become dependent and Babylon makes more money. As Rasta you may purchase your own health and healing book online or your local book store.

I strongly recommend having a book in your home on natural medicine to help guide you into natural medicine and healing awareness.

Good health of the body is for the short and longer term as a Rasta.

Fasting for spiritual Health as Rastafari

Many people do not consider the spirit to be part of the health of the body. I can ensure the spirit is an integral a part of our physical and emotional well being and should be maintained and properly “fed.”

2 Reasons Rastafari fast…

Rasta fast to exercise the spirit so to speak, in the way that we halt a time when we eat so that our mind can experience our existence as the spirit instead of as a physical being driven by physical desires. Doing this as a Rasta helps one to practice self control and to develop spiritual health and awareness.

The other reason is to provide the body s some hours break form digesting food. Everything needs to take a break. It’s just healthy and wise to do so.

Many Rasta fast from Friday at sundown to Saturday at Sundown. Some Rasta fast on Tuesdays, to honor the Ethiopian day of Sabbath. As long as you fast one of these days, then you are covered as a Rasta, for exercising spiritual health and well being.

Rasta Temple cleanse

In the Rastafari Livity we are aware of all of the additives and preservatives that may be in our food, also we know that the human body does a good job of food expulsion. However because we as Rasta practice natural health care, we read and learn that the bowels could use some extra help in ridding itself of “gunk.” Rasta like to do a herbal cleanse once a month, for optimal health, and to promote healthy digestion.

I really enjoyed the book. There are some spelling and grammatical errors here and there, but overall, I learned a lot more about the Rastafari lifestyle than I thought possible. I felt a “good vibe” from the book. Check this one out if you are curious about what the term Rastafari means to a practitioner.

“Charity” (Excerpt from Rasta book on beliefs)

Hi guys this is just an excerpt from my new Rasta book I am working on….This is on the belief of Charity. Bet you didn’t know we thought like this…

Charity

moneyRastafari believe that those who have money have been given a blessing and a Responsibility by the Most High.

Rastafari believe that money is to be given away to the Poor and needy.

Hording Money is a Sin

We believe that for one to know there are poor people who could make great use of that money that we have accumulated, and yet continue to hoard, as numbers on a bank statement…is a sin. Jah does not like this.

As Rastafari we “know” that to have a great deal of money means we are chosen to act as Delivers and caregivers of the poor and hungry and share the money.

Rasta Responsibility with Wealth

  • As Rasta once we have accumulated a good amount of money we know 3 things

  • We were chosen to have this great wealth

  • It is our duty as Servants of Jah to Share the wealth

To have food to eat each day is a blessing that we share with those who don’t have by sharing our wealth and abundance.

Rasta is very aware that every time we fill our bellies there is someone who is going without. Not because we have filled our bellies, but a full belly reminds us that some have and some do not have.

Rasta believe greatly in giving to the poor, needy and the hungry.

How I support “Charity”

Every time I get paid I buy a homeless person on the street something to eat big or small. I acknowledge them with a smile, and conversation. I know Jah is watching and it creates good Karma for me. It doesn’t have to be a lot of money. You could buy someone a $5 or $10 meal, once, a week or once every 2 weeks. Your belly is full so help someone else’s belly to be full too.

Rastafari Book!

Rastafari as a Non African

white rastaAs stated earlier Rastafari is a way of life, that is rooted in African Culture and Traditions. Because Rastafarian is of Jah, people of all Nations may embrace the Faith of Rastafari. How should you embrace this faith as a non-African? There are a few guidelines to be aware of. A Few boxes that must get ticked, in order that we keep within the principles of the Rastafari.

Self-Awareness as Non African

Rastafari feels that the foundation of a man/woman must be strong in order to last and be strong. In other words in order to embrace this faith, you will need to start by learning about your own roots and culture. One of the principles of Rastafari is “Self Awareness”

Know Accomplishments of your own people

Connect spirituality to your own ancestors

Take pride in your own nation and appearance

Celebrate your people

Two Cultures to Be proud of..?

I became acquainted with one individual who felt it “ok” to learn as much as he could about Ethiopia and King Selassie I and Empress Menen, but did not feelrasta god, selassie it necessary to give the same respects to his own roots and culture. According to the principles of Rastafari, this is not allowed. It completely ignores the principle of “Self-awareness” and “self-Love.”

Rastafari does not ask Non Africans who embrace Rastafari to know African history and Culture and to ignore their own…to do such a thing is “Babylonian thinking!…It’s like me a black Jamaican African woman embracing the faith of Hinduism, and ignoring my own traditions culture, values and ancestry. Nonsense!

So if you want to embrace Rastafari as a non-African…

Principles of Rastafari

When you read the Principles of Rastafari with the Overstanding that Rastafari was…

1.created and implemented by Jah in heart of every Rasta men Rasta woman and Rasta child

2.to help and heal, the black nation out of Slavery, into freedom and independence,

3.to live as peaceably with other Nations,

4.Teach The black nation live clean in order to Enter Zion

…then you will acquire the “Spiritual Essence” of Rastafari.

The true light love and Guidance of the faith of Rastafari.

I have separated the Rastafari Principles into 3 major Categories, for Overstanding and Organization.

Jah

Self

Zion

Others

Jah

His name is “Jah”

“…Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the Heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.”

– Psalms 68 vs. 4 King James Version

Who is Jah

Jah is the God of the Universe. There is only one God just as there is only one Universe. “God” does not exist. Only Jah!

What is the image of Jah ?

The image (vibration) or likeness of Jah is…

African,

Black….

White Rastafari – The Book

White_Rastafari_Cover_for_Kindle - CopyHello everyone! Welcome to my blog. I have written a book. Its called White Rastafari. I also have a book called how to become a Rasta. I think White Rastafari is a greatbook because its very informative and it is the 3 book I have written, therefor now I have more experienc knowing what peopole want to learn about Rastafari.

Table of Contents; ‘White Rastafari’ the Book

  • The Truth about Bob Marley;
  • Emperor Haile Selassie
  • The first Rastaman,
  • What is Black?
  • Can a white person be Rastafari?
  • The Rastafari Holy Sabbath,
  • 10 Facts Every Rasta Knows
  • 10 Great Black Inventions *
  • Jah,
  • 10 Principles of Rastafari, 10 commandments of Jah
  • Rastafari Websites & Books

Here is the beginning of the book;

“…Yes a white person can be a Rastafari because, it’s not so much about the color of the person’s skin, it is about the heart of the person. Jah sees and knows all things. He knows if we are good, or if we allow our selves to be instruments of Satan. White people are also chosen as Rastafari, in the same way that black Rasta are chosen. White Rasta do not have different practices than black Rasta. Everything is the same. White Rasta, praise King Selassie I, They eat Ital Rasta food, They listen to Rasta Reggae music, they burn nag Champa incents, everything is the same. Jah does not look at the person’s skin color when he chooses his messengers, he looks at the heart.

White Rastafari are special!

Did you know that to black Rastafari people, white Rastafari people are special? Here is why. White people are not expected to have dreadlocks, so when they do, black Rasta find it very appealing. We are intrigued that even though to wear dreadlocks is not the way of your people, Still you choose to wear the hair in Dreadlocks. Black Rasta may want to learn More about the way you live. As white Rastafari, you can expect that many black Rasta will approach you for conversation, and friendship…”

Here is another excerpt

“…I want to embrace this way of life, but I have questions

Many white people who wish to embrace Rastafari have questions, and rightfully so. This book was designed to answer those questions, so that you may feel informed before embracing this way of life. Lets look at some common questions concerning Rastafari.

•       Why do Rasta say that King Selassie I is God?

•       Why is it mostly black people who embrace this way of life?

•       What are the beliefs and principles of the Rastafari people?

•       How do I know Rastafari is Right for me?

Empress Diary Entry, love and rasta books

Listen to the Almighty

Its been a long time since I did one of these but I feel it is the best thing right now. I am suppose to be going to Jamaica by the end of the year. I feel I am not financially prepared. But Jah asked me to do this about 3 years about, just fresh after I started growing my dreadlocks. Could you imagine telling the Almighty that you are not ready? Well…that is exactly what I did. I have not stopped paying through the nose for this decision. I now know my happiness and financial situation today would have been dramatically different had I taken his advice.

Broken heart

I am feeling somewhat confused right now…about many things. The only thing I know for sure is that I do want to keep on writing e-books. I will be honest. My heart has been broken by a Jamaican man lately without explanation. There was no intimate action, so I guess that makes it a bit better, but still it hurts. One good thing is it has inspired me to write a new book. I’m still scared to go to Jamaica, and having a broken heart is not helping, but some where deep down inside of me, I know that with what I intend to do, it’s better I do it without him. I feel like my mind will be more focused now on my business instead of him. I swear some women just give too much to their men, I am definitely one of them.

Advice from Spiritual Friend

So, I have a very spiritual friend. She is a Christian, we talked last night, she encouraged me to pray and to Just take a leap of faith. This is after I told her that the Almighty has a way of working things out for me. Sometimes even better than what I had intended. He knows me, he knows whats best for me.

He foresaw our Breakup

Before my boyfriend ( a Jamaican man) and I broke up, I was entering it felt like, a state of depression. I couldn’t seem to get my self to be happy. To be happy was an effort. I hated pretending, but I felt I had to do it, mostly for him. Would you believe every time I needed that guy, he would turn his back on me. In hindsight, he wasn’t interested in me at all, just the idea of me. Having a woman from foreign to talk to. Gee Wiz. I was being used. Truth is I was using him too. I knew I was. Cause I wanted some one living in Jamaica to talk to. Funny. You know what he said to me recently. He said…in reference to a text message I sent him expressing my love….’ If I am pretending…I know you are not pretending’ I was so focused on the part of him knowing that I was being honest, that I didn’t even realize, he was telling me he wasn’t being real with me. The part that really kills me is….why on Jah green earth would he do this 30 days before I am about to see him again. We have been talking on the phone for 8 months….30 days before I arrive you pull out. I suppose I should look at it figuratively as well huh. Gross but true. I am thankful to the Almighty Jah, that I found out how he was now instead of later.

Any way I have some big plans for my visit, or my move to Jamaica. Everything is up in the air. My spiritual friend suggested I buy a new backpack, just for my trip, and just go with the flow. With the Almighty, all things are possible.

Some of my Rastafari Books

Well, I have recently finished my book on African-American Spirituality entitled ‘Rastafari’ get on amazon.com Its Jam packed with information. Great for anybody who wants to understand Rastafari, for the truth of it. Actually I wrote the book with the Jamaican black people in mind. I am currently writing a book of ‘Jah Jah Prayers’ and another book called ‘White Rastafari’ Well maybe I am burying my self in work so that I don’t think about that guy who just stopped calling me with no explanation. That’s life right. But the truth is I didn’t much appreciate his way of thinking. It was very different from mine. I am about cleanliness, the Rastafari way of thinking living and doing. He had more of a Babylonian mind; sleep with as many women as you can unprotected. I’m sorry but its true. The funny thing is, I know he is one of the better quality Jamaican men. LOL. Anyway I think I have talked enough. I love you all. thank you for listening.

New Book ‘Jah Prayers’ Jah Rastafari Prayers for life’s difficult times.

Forgiveness

‘Jah Jah please help me to forgive. Please put your light into my heart that it may be unhardened. Jah you created, day and night, I know with you all things are possible.’

Jah causes the sun to rise and to set, a new day comes every 24 hours. With this new beginning day, he encourages us to release all that is no longer serving us, and make way for new opportunities, and experiences to come. In the light and love of the Almighty Jah, I allow forgiveness to fill my heart, with the rise of the new sun.

Rastafari: light of truth for all Nations

I am a Rastafari woman. This was not a choice on my part, I was born this way. I am here to deliver a message. The message I have is for black people, with the reality of black slavery, black people need something to remind them of who they were before, who they are suppose to be, and to bring them back to their true way of life…loving the Almighty every day, and loving our selves.

Rastafari is a soul thing. I can only equate it to a computer that you get with all the programs already downloaded. It is out of my head, not my soul, not from my present download, that I am considering writing a book on “white Rastafari” I started to write it….I question how much to include slavery. If I write a book for white people and leave out slavery…then I wont be doing anybody any favours. Besides I feel that in order for whites to truly accept and receive the light of Rastafari they will need to know why the realities of the black struggle. If I leave this out, then I am not helping to close the gap of difference, and misunderstanding between black people and white people. Heres what it really boils down to. There are white people who already have the light of Rastafari, because they have chosen to. Then there are who know nothing about people of color. Some choose this way of life, other would like to learn more.

Because Rastafari is spiritual truth for all people, I decided I should choose to share my knowledge wisdom and awareness that Jah has given me, with all the world. It’s not good for people to live their entire life under a lie. I feel if white people know about Rastafari and follow it…perhaps their life will be more fulfilling more meaningful. One of the worst things a man can do, is to feel he knows everything already. This will only make him dumb.

My priority is to bring this light to black people…then to everyone else. Remember I was sent (born) to bring this light to black people. So, this is not some discriminatory choice that I am making.

It would be nice however it people would share with me what they would like to learn in such a book. I have my own Ideas, but i would love to know yours. Imagine a world without Racism. Really racism is just a lack of knowledge, and experience. Although some choose to be in this head space for whatever reason. Then others want to live a positive life, so they can feel clean and free in the heart. Ok I am rambling.

Jah Bless

5 Guidelines to Enter Holy Mount Zion

Honour and Respect Others

Honour and speak highly of those around you, Come Judgement day Jah will judge you based on how you treat and speak of others.

Resist Temptation

Resist temptation in Babylon. Temptation means opportunites to perform acts on behalf of Satan, each and every time no exception. Temptation comes in many forms.

  • Lust
  • Lying
  • Stealing
  • Cheating
  • Infidelity
  • Promiscuity
  • Addictions
  • Vulgarity
  • Swearing

Resist the urge to follow the ways of Satan, and embrace the way of The Most High. When you have the thought, to do these things, resist, and do something productive, and honourable in the eyes of Jah, the Almighty.

Honour Your Temple

Honour your Temple (your body), by eating clean foods, and resisting all forms of  sexual defilement, including sexual addictions. Jah does not like Immoral behavior or disrespect of his temple.

Read your Bible Daily 1 hour

Read your bible daily for 1 hour, this will help you keep your mind on the concerns of the Almighty, instead of the concerns of Babylon. Jah finds favour with those whom tresure their bible and keep his word.

Avoid so called “Fun”

People are doing many things in the name of “fun.” “Fun” can get Rasta into trouble. Do not as Rasta…

  • Go to bars clubs unless it is Rastafari or Jamaican oriented
  • Gossip about others
  • Experiment with sex
  • Make fun of other people
  • Get into arguments with others
  • Stand up on the road side hanging out (idoling)

Rastafari are in the bible

As Born Rasta We have the Rastafari livity written on our hearts, we read the bible to raise our spiritual vibration, and to induce meditation. But there are many references to RAstafari and black culutre, I believe that were removed from the Christian bible over time.

Instead of following the desires of Satan, concern your self with being productive and making a positive contribution to society as Rasta. As Rasta enjoyment means…

Bible study

  • Chattign with other Rasta
  • Building Rasta Buisness
  • Meditation
  • Contemplation
  • Cleaning the house (spiritual space)
  • Listenting to some Rasta Reggae Music
  • Teaching our Young ones the Livity
  • Watchin educational DVDs on black culture

Jah Say…

All with a clean heart are invited into Zion, but only those who Resist Temptation of Satan, and make rememberance of me each day may be able to enter Mount Zion.

Just as the Christian bible says:  For many are called, but few are chosen.

Rastafari Book for black people to become Rastafari

This book is way overdue. My apologies to all my up and coming black kings and queens.

Jah wrote it on my heart about 3 years ago to write a book such as this. The truth is I had the bones of the book done, but when I was through with it I felt that it was almost too powerful. Where I live in Toronto Canada, we get silenced. If you are not promoting homosexuality, or lying to people, in some way shape of form, in order to tell them what they want to here, you will be silenced. None of those things is what I am about.

The original book I wrote consisted of many things I learned about “other nations” by way of meditation and surfing the internet. I am not out to offend anyone. Not only that I just wanted this book to be high Quality. I want people to enjoy this book so much that they tell their friends. I want it to be the book on Rastafari for people of Color. I want this book to inspire black people to follow the faith. I knew I had to do a better job.

I started to rewrite the book after a good friend of mine told me something. He said dont you know there are Muslims in Jamaica. I immediately thought, there is no reason for that. Rastafari is for the Jamaican black people. I now have a Job to do. I wrote my book on that basis, but you will not get that feeling when you read the book. I want all black-skinned people with coily hair to know Ras-Tafari is the rightful faith for them as determined by the Almighty him self. It is the job of every black Rasta to bring the people to the faith. Some don’t want to do it on a larger scale, but truly it is our job.

I am doing my part by writing about Rastafari, others sing about it. We must deliver the message to the black people.

My book is called “Rastafari: Black Peoples Livity Bible” I am in love with the title, and so far I am in love with my book. I wanted to keep it positive so that people will enjoy reading it and maybe feel inspired by it. Here I will share some of the book with you.

Black is a shade?

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine, she is white and has been brainwashed into believe that white is superior. We had a conversation alone one day, then she tried to share her belief with a young black woman selling T-shirts on the street that “black white and grey” are all shades. I had to correct her. “Black is all colors combined!” (therefore it is not a shade) it is in fact a color. “It is the strongest color.” She had no more to say about the subject. We as black people must stop accepting the brainwash. Just because something is written in a book, doesnt make it true. Think beyond, and know that you must use common sense and wisdom to know the truth. This information was also given to me by the most high during one fo my meditation sessions.

What I learned under meditation

One day when I had fallen under a deep meditation it was revealed to me that black people are the original, whole and complete human. I did ask for evidence or “proof” that this was true. The answer I received was. ” take a look at the other nations. They have your hue-man characteristics, in lesser degrees in variation.” It was revealed to me that Indian hue-mans have our skin complexion but to a lesser degree…asians, have dark hair and even wide noses….to a lesser degree…hispanics, are curvy and wavy to curly-haired to a lesser degree…caucasians have black features and characteristic the very least. Caucasions…tend to be straight in the body…lighter haired…with very fine in many cases thin lips and …the hair of black hue-mans is strong…and can stick straight up in the air in its natural un chemically altered form. the hair of other nations…tends to be limp…and hangy.

Positive Black References
To coily African black hair and black skin complexion
Say
  • Jah hair
  • coily hair
  • My Crown
In reference to our beautiful skin tone say:
  • High Melanin complexion
  • Jah skin
  • Honorable complexion
  • Royal complexion

Black self-esteem means, promoting positive black images in the home, being your self a positive black role model, and being a  supporter of black upliftment and natural black beauty. Only a Rasta who loves him self and loves his black identity to the fullest, and who walks next to Jah, will honor this guideline.

Many black Rasta who practice the faith to the fullest, feel a natural loving unity towards his fellow black man, woman, and child. It is important that you do the same once you begin to grow your “Holy Rasta Crown.” As Black Rasta it i important that we place your black brothers, sister, and children “on a pedestal.” Speak to you black brothers and sisters as if you are speaking to a King or a Queen…because essentially you are! Rastafari is a spirituality that practices unity WITHIN the black community.

As you can see I tried to keep everything positive. I have a job to complete. I will do it as much as possible while I am here. Loving my people.
Jah loves you too.

My book should be available no later than, mid September. Then not too longer later I will be moving to Jamaica, to continue the message.

Rasta Book – Rastafari: Black peoples livity bible

Rastafari_Cover_for_Kindle2

I am writing a book. Well I have written a book, but I changed some things. I realize people like details, so I decided that details is what I will give you guys. The first book I wrote, How to become a rasta, was written for any body who wants to become Rastafari. But, deep in my heart I wanted to write a book, just for my people.

This book answers many questions, and provides information about what it really means to be “black.”  I look forward to the new book. Here is the table of contents that I am building now…

  • who is Jah
  • what is a Rasta
  • where is Jah
  • why you should choose Rastafari
  • Who should become a Rasta
  • Dreadlocks
  • What is Zion
  • How to live life to enter Zion
  • what is so special about Emperor Haile Selassie
  • 10 things you should start doing today as Rasta
  • 10 Things you must own as Rasta

I had the option to reveal the truth about black people vs white people, but I decided it was much more positive, to just tell black people the truth about who they really are. Life is full of twitsts and turns, not knowing who you are wont help you much. We as black people need to start uniting and lifting eachother up. Just because I write a book soley for my people, its not racism, Im just fullfilling the job I came here to do, deliver the message of truth to my people. Also black people have different social, spiritual, mental, and physical needs, I want to cater to these things. I want my people to take their rightful place by way of following the truth.

I am a black Rasta Empress, who lives black, loves black, represents black, supports black and promotes black.

Blessings and love to all. Jah Ras Tafari

Rastafari, Book Writing, New Website, More Jah Truth

Hello and Welcome to my Blog on Rastafari and Jamaican Culture. For those of you who don’t know me my name is Yuajah and I am a Rasta. Rastafari is my spirituality, my mission is to educate others on what it means to be a Rasta and to have self-pride self-love and self-awareness.

I am writing a new Rasta book

I am writing a new book. This is actually my second book. My first book is called “How to Become a Rasta.”  You can buy it as an e-book by clicking the link. My second Book is called “Rastafari, spirituality for African-Americans” or something very close to that. I wanted to let you know that, in case you were wondering why I havent created any new posts. I don’t want abandon my responsibilities. My master piece will be well worth the wait. “Rastafari, Spirituality for African-Americans.” Is my heart. It should be available online at amazon.com by late April 2012.

I have a new Rasta website

I have a new Rastafari website. Ok not a new website, but the old one made new. I am sure this is a shock for some people, because it was definitely a shock for me. lol. I hope you like the new design. It was very hard to select, and I wanted to make it just right for my site visitors. One cool thing about the new design is your can sign up to mingle with other members. Hopefully every is working smoothly with that. Just look on the top tool bar, to sign up.

More Jah truth

I have made a decision. I am not going to pussy foot around any more. I was pussy footing around before….but no more. I am going to blog about Rastafari the way that it is written on my heart. I wont say things to make people happy. Much of what I am gonna say is very controversial. Hey, maybe I will make more enemies than friends. On life to live right. I gotta be me. Please no I am not intentionally trying to hurt people. It’s just that I have a message to deliver, and if I keep “being nice” people will not get my point. Ok ok, I will be nice, I will just be selective about what I say. Just as the late great Bob Marley.

What is a Rasta?

A Rasta is someone who has knowledge about certain things in life. You are wondering what on earth I am talking about. Well one thing is thing. (belief) if you want to call it that. Your life should be your own. It was given to your by Jah to do as you like. Only you can stand before the Almighty at Judgement time. Many people do not appreciate my lifestyle. I think even those who know me, wonder “what is a Rasta” any way. It is not only about dreadlocks, it’s about living life, the right way, the clean way, the way Jah the almighty intended. I leave it there, I know my beliefs can sound radical to some, but they are mine and I stick to them. Not only that I have a responsibility to my ancestors to remind people of where they are coming from, and to educate others on my spiritual way of life.

That’s it!

That is mostly what I wanted to share with you. Check out the videos on the far right. Sign up to the jamaicanrastafarianlove.com online community, buy “How to Become a Rasta” and educate other with what you learn. Put love first in all things, remember Jah is watching….clean heart good intentions.

Jah Rastafari.
