Jamaican Men Stereotypes

Jamaican Men…Stereotypes?

dating Jamaican men… whats it like?

Jamaican men are just like any other guy. Only they are Jamaican. If you have never been with a Jamaican man before then it will be something different and perhaps exciting. Dont let his sexy accent fool you. He is like every other guy out there. True the Jamaican man has a nice sexy accent, but you must remember he is only human. He is not the Jamaican version of  a Greek God. It is easy for women to feel this way around them, when they are not used to them.

Are all Jamaican guys users?

No, not all Jamaican men use all women, and some Jamaican men only use certain women because they know they can. Many Jamaican men have been raised with a very strict set of values and morals, that they don’t intend to ignore.

Are all Jamaican men good in bed?

Not every Jamaican man is good in bed. Some are some are not, just like any other man of any nationality. Jamaican men have a reputation for being Kings in the bedroom…Most are…but not all.

Do all Jamaican men ask women for money?

A Jamaican man has never asked me for money a day in my life…but perhaps if he was dating you he might do it. Every Jamaican man is different depending on the woman in question. In Jamaican Culture it is ok for the man to ask his woman for some time…but if they have only Just met…and do not live together or have a children together, then it is considered not ok.

Jamaican men work too you know….!

are all jamaican men promiscuous
Jamaican men sure are sexy

Many Jamaican men have jobs just like everybody else and so there is no need to ask for money. I know Jamaica is considered a third world country, but a lot

of people in Jamaica work too. So, not every Jamaican man is out to make a quick buck off a woman….!

Do all Jamaican men date white women?

Not every Jamaican man dates white women, but some do….Jamaican men can love and date whoever they want. I know some Jamaican men who date white women exclusively, I know one Jamaican man who dates both black and white women, and I know a few who choose to date just black women…its the personal choice and preference of the Jamaican man.

Are all Jamaican men well endowed?

Many Jamaican men are well endowed. I as a woman have no explanation for this…except to say…Jamaica itself is blessed, and therefore the people are also blessed. Keep in mind for some this may be uncomfortable…LOL. So, being in a relationship with a well endowed Jamaican man is not always a Joy. Trust me!

white women beware of jamaican men!!!!

How to Date a Jamaican man book cover

I don’t mean beware in a bad way, and I don’t mean beware to only white women, but it’s mainly white women who complain about dating a Jamaican Man. I will tell you about my o

own personal experience and you can draw your own conclusions. But before I do I want to tell you a little about me. My name is Empress Yuajah, that is my Rasta name. I am a Rastafari woman who currently resides in Toronto, but my desires is to live in Jamaica by the end of 2013. I have been Rasta from conception but didn’t accept this part of my self completely until about age 31. I am a full-time blogger and Author, also a song writer.  Lets get to it!

White women offended by my honesty

I have written articles in the past about why black men date white women. I noticed white women just get offended and want to tell me off. I wish they would say, thank you. Thank you Empress for your honesty. Because nowhere else am I gonna get the advice of a Jamaican woman who understands the mind of Jamaican men and who will tell me the truth about the motivations of some Jamaican men. But anyway, I have since looked at that page again. I saw that one white women commented without going into a rage. So I will put that page entitled “Why black men date white women – a black womans perspective” back up on my blog. Let it be.

I guess white women see this heading in the search engines and expect to find things like

  • White women have skin like angels
  • hair like silk

Instead I’m calling a spade a spade and they don’t like it. Don’t get me wrong, I think interracial love is beautiful, I haven’t been with a black man in 10 years myself. It’s just that some of the motivations of black men, concerning dating white women, concern me.

I then wrote dating a Jamaican man 12 things women need to know. It’s mostly about having a Jamaican man living in Jamaica, and what you need to know before you start making plans to bring him to America or Canada or before you move down there.

My own Jamaican Man experience

I went to Jamaica in February of 2012. I met a very sexy and very handsome tall Jamaican man. He looked like an Angel sent straight from heaven. To be honest at first I wasn’t so attracted black man black womanto him because I figured a guy like that could never be trusted. Eventually I had to come back home to Canada. So we began corresponding on the phone. 8 months!!! We talked on the phone for 8 months, everyday and I shared my heart and soul with him. One day, he stops calling me. Christmas went by and he didn’t even call me to see if I was alive or dead. At first I was devastated. I felt depressed and pissed off. But I knew somehow deep down inside my self that if I would just allow time to heal my heart, there were some good things to come for me. So that is what I did. When I took the time to think about everything, I realized he was just out to use me, and I am a Jamaican.

Why Beware?

I mentioned in the title for white women to beware because, If I am a Jamaican woman, and something as ridiculous as this can happen to me. Then for someone who is totally clueless about Jamaican culture and experiencing Jamaican culture, by getting to know a Jamaican man for the first time, then her journey has many risks so to speak. If you think I am making this up because I want to make white women look stupid, I am not. Just read my article How to date a Jamaican man and you will read over 100 comments from women having experiences with Jamaican men. Mostly negative.

My advice to white women dating Jamaican men.

My advice to white women dating Jamaican men. Beware. Proceed with caution. Jamaican men can be very alluring. I am not saying there are not good Jamaican men, there are! But if you are a foreign woman, like me, then we need to be cautious and know some things. Read my 12 things women need to know about dating a Jamaican man. I have to get it back up online. It’s just a few bucks. It’s worth it if you are dating a Jamaican man living in Jamaica and you plan to marry him and bring him abroad. Just wanted to let you know. White women have to be extra careful. Why, because you may be playing with a wolf wearing sheep’s clothing and not know it. It happened to me, it can happen to you.  A Jamaican man can use you and break your heart and many times you wont see it coming. Just wanted you to know. Yes not all Jamaican men do this to women, but some do.

Empress Diary Entry, love and rasta books

Listen to the Almighty

Its been a long time since I did one of these but I feel it is the best thing right now. I am suppose to be going to Jamaica by the end of the year. I feel I am not financially prepared. But Jah asked me to do this about 3 years about, just fresh after I started growing my dreadlocks. Could you imagine telling the Almighty that you are not ready? Well…that is exactly what I did. I have not stopped paying through the nose for this decision. I now know my happiness and financial situation today would have been dramatically different had I taken his advice.

Broken heart

I am feeling somewhat confused right now…about many things. The only thing I know for sure is that I do want to keep on writing e-books. I will be honest. My heart has been broken by a Jamaican man lately without explanation. There was no intimate action, so I guess that makes it a bit better, but still it hurts. One good thing is it has inspired me to write a new book. I’m still scared to go to Jamaica, and having a broken heart is not helping, but some where deep down inside of me, I know that with what I intend to do, it’s better I do it without him. I feel like my mind will be more focused now on my business instead of him. I swear some women just give too much to their men, I am definitely one of them.

Advice from Spiritual Friend

So, I have a very spiritual friend. She is a Christian, we talked last night, she encouraged me to pray and to Just take a leap of faith. This is after I told her that the Almighty has a way of working things out for me. Sometimes even better than what I had intended. He knows me, he knows whats best for me.

He foresaw our Breakup

Before my boyfriend ( a Jamaican man) and I broke up, I was entering it felt like, a state of depression. I couldn’t seem to get my self to be happy. To be happy was an effort. I hated pretending, but I felt I had to do it, mostly for him. Would you believe every time I needed that guy, he would turn his back on me. In hindsight, he wasn’t interested in me at all, just the idea of me. Having a woman from foreign to talk to. Gee Wiz. I was being used. Truth is I was using him too. I knew I was. Cause I wanted some one living in Jamaica to talk to. Funny. You know what he said to me recently. He said…in reference to a text message I sent him expressing my love….’ If I am pretending…I know you are not pretending’ I was so focused on the part of him knowing that I was being honest, that I didn’t even realize, he was telling me he wasn’t being real with me. The part that really kills me is….why on Jah green earth would he do this 30 days before I am about to see him again. We have been talking on the phone for 8 months….30 days before I arrive you pull out. I suppose I should look at it figuratively as well huh. Gross but true. I am thankful to the Almighty Jah, that I found out how he was now instead of later.

Any way I have some big plans for my visit, or my move to Jamaica. Everything is up in the air. My spiritual friend suggested I buy a new backpack, just for my trip, and just go with the flow. With the Almighty, all things are possible.

Some of my Rastafari Books

Well, I have recently finished my book on African-American Spirituality entitled ‘Rastafari’ get on amazon.com Its Jam packed with information. Great for anybody who wants to understand Rastafari, for the truth of it. Actually I wrote the book with the Jamaican black people in mind. I am currently writing a book of ‘Jah Jah Prayers’ and another book called ‘White Rastafari’ Well maybe I am burying my self in work so that I don’t think about that guy who just stopped calling me with no explanation. That’s life right. But the truth is I didn’t much appreciate his way of thinking. It was very different from mine. I am about cleanliness, the Rastafari way of thinking living and doing. He had more of a Babylonian mind; sleep with as many women as you can unprotected. I’m sorry but its true. The funny thing is, I know he is one of the better quality Jamaican men. LOL. Anyway I think I have talked enough. I love you all. thank you for listening.

New Book ‘Jah Prayers’ Jah Rastafari Prayers for life’s difficult times.

Forgiveness

‘Jah Jah please help me to forgive. Please put your light into my heart that it may be unhardened. Jah you created, day and night, I know with you all things are possible.’

Jah causes the sun to rise and to set, a new day comes every 24 hours. With this new beginning day, he encourages us to release all that is no longer serving us, and make way for new opportunities, and experiences to come. In the light and love of the Almighty Jah, I allow forgiveness to fill my heart, with the rise of the new sun.

sorry I traveled to Jamaica…but im back!

I am so sorry to everyone that wondered WHAT THE HECK, happened to this website? I was away, I traveled to Jamaica in February. I was told on very short notice that I had this ticked (one day actually) and so I did not get a chance to wrap all my projects the way that I would have liked to. Oh my goodness, imagine one day to prepare for something you have been wishing for for 3 years. Here is a list of some things I had to do before I actually went to Jamaica.

  • go to the bank
  • call the company running my website and make a payment
  • call the company hosting my website and make a payment
  • go shopping for summer clothes and shoes
  • clean the house
  • buy some gift for my family memebers
  • do my laundry
  • pack for the trip
  • buy a new suitcase
  • …and so much more. Out of that whole list, I think, I only went to the bank, did my laundry, and packed for the trip u sing a very old suitcase, and oh yeah I cleaned the house too.  Clearly I did not have enough time to call the company running my websit and make a payment.  (I will post some pics and video soon) or visit my youtube channel

I have been doing a lot of black writing lately

I have been doing a lot of black writing lately. what does that mean? It means I seem to be drawn to write books that are about my people,  mainly to help to open our eyes. I did enjoy writing how to date a jamaican man, however i feel my purpose is something “higher” than this. I am enjoying my roots and and culture and my spirituality.

The Almighty gives me my direction…

I asked The Almighty about what I am soppose to be doing, (i am feeling weird in this moment) and what he told me shocked me, to think I have been given such responsibility. I mean I am happy, but I am terrified. The only way I can explain it is. This must be the way Obama felt when he realized he was actually going to be the one running the country. I mean it is certainly something I want to do, but the thought of actually doing it over whelms me. By the way, if there is anything in particular you would like to see on this website, anything in particular you would like me to write about you can always leave it in the comments. Back to what I was saying. I think since “he sees and knows all things” I will go ahead with what he has asked me to do.  I am scared shitless!

Rastafari book still to come

I have a book on Just Rastafari. It is very extensive, this is the main reason it is taking me so long to write it, plus the unexpected trip to Jamaica. But I am working on it and I am enjoying reading. I really do hope people like it. It is still coming please be patient with me.

More about my trip in a different post

I will write some more about my trip to Jamaica in a different blog post. I love Jah, and I love Jamaica. I have a lot to tell you. Mostly about how I felt as a Rastafari woman living in North America her whole life and finally going to the place that I have always known is my home. Until next time. Keep loving. Live as black African, this truth belongs to all of us.

Jah bless me, and Jah bless the whole world.

Rastafari lives.

do you hate (JAMAICAN) black men, so do i

I have been having some bad experiences with jamaican men lateley, have you. I find they lie so much just to get sex from you. they can be insecure and have many women and not even tell you about it. I was so fond of one who was about 4 foot 11 seriously he was the cutest little rasta man i had ever seen in my life. I wanted to have him so bad. maybe thats why I dont. he is the mosrt insecure, short tempered person I have ever met in my life. Truly i think he was hiding his penis from me. but whatever. If I saw him today I would do anything for him. I have a thing for short people. My says its because I am tall. anyway i think he is sexy and beautiful its a really long story folks. i hope i can meet another one. I dont date brown skin men, I like a short dark skinned jamaican man. A friend and i were chatting this evening and I kind of decided there are other men that I need to date other than Jamaican. Those men are not good for me. I am 33 years old all I want is a companion that I can relate too.

he would have to be

Rastafari

Black

Short

I know that sounds silly. I haved had sex in one year because of these perameters. ITs good I feel clean. Icant sleep with people who are not the same spirituality as me. So whatever. My exboyfrien had the nerve to run up to me talking about how much he missed me. As I told him I wasnt gonna sleep with him the phone calls stopped. Is this how Jamaican men are. I was just a big walking vagina that he could collect to him? Well whatever.

I would never lie to a guy to get sex from him, I would say look your personality sucks, but I would really like to sleep with you. Or, your not the type of person I could see my self long term with, but I would really enjoy having you in my bed. Whatever enough chatter.

I am no longer interested in Jamaican men…..I will not date outside my race, so I guess this means men from the other islands, its worth a shot. The truth is I am terrified of that! I think the intimacy would be great….my heart is beating fast just thinking about it. Im SCARED……IM DRUNK TOO. …
