I have also written Rastafari Beliefs and principles, my newest ebook. I have come to understand that this book is not for everyone. This is not a book of entertainment. It is a book of truth. The truth is not for everyone. Some people do not know what to do with themselves when faces with the truth, so they get angry if it does not give them information to inflate their ego. This may sound arrogant but there are a lot of arrogant people who want to say they are Rasta.

Rastafari livity is for everyone but please only embrace this faith if you want to do it completely and forever. Rastafari is not a Religion but Jah is so real. He does not like to be disrespected. Well, it is his job to bring Judgement on the people who want to say “Yes, I am Rasta” and then break the covenant, not mine. I write my books to bring the light to the people…that is my job, what they do with the light after that is their own Judgment.

5 Rastafari views and Principles on Money

tumblr_ngzdsbxUzM1u1kvguo1_500

  1. Money is a tool – Money is a tool. As Rasta we know not to fall in love, or to fall into lust with the journey. Money is simply a means to an end. Use it to accomplish another goal. Perhaps to purchase a house, to feed a family, or to buy a new Bob Marley or Dennis Brown cd to meditate to.
  2. Money is to serve and help others – I cannot count the amount of blessings Jah has brought into my life, simply because I exercise this Rasta principle. I use money to serve others by giving money away to homeless people living on the street. I use to do it twice a month, but now I try to do this once a week. Rasta knows to use his money to help and serve those who are in need.
  3. Money is not to be hoarded – Another key to prosperity that many people do not realize, but that is part of the Rastafari livity, is that money is not to be hoarded. Under Rastafari to be wealthy and to save it in a back account is a sin. In other words, according to the desires of Jah, money is to be given away. Take advantage of as many opportunities as possible to give money away. Rasta knows that to savemoney in the back is a form of hoarding, and selfishness and fearfulness. What type people and experiences do you think you will create if you carry such thoughts and beliefs in your aura. As Rasta we spend money freely and give away money freely (without expecting it back) because we know Jah provides, and Jah always provides us with more.
  4. Money is neither good nor evil – Rasta knows it’s not the money jah rasta prayersthat is actually evil…its the way the person uses it. Rasta doesn’t believe money is the root of all evil. We believe money is good because it can help us create more opportunities to serve Jah. Money is neither good, nor evil…its how we use it that makes it so.
  5. Money is not life – Rasta know money is not life. Many people live as if they will live forever. They think that money is everything in this life. Money is not life. It has been said that Bob Marley said on his death-bed “money can’t buy life.” Exactly. So, I try to keep in mind that money is money, and that life is life. I try to take in and recognize those beautiful moment in my life and cherish them as they happen. Like the time I took my 4-year-old step son to KFC and he tried to eat the who chicken breast in two bites as his face was full of ketchup. I enjoyed that moment. I watched him in what felt like, slow motion, and that is a moment I will never forget. No amount of money could equate to  the experience for me.

“Charity” (Excerpt from Rasta book on beliefs)

Hi guys this is just an excerpt from my new Rasta book I am working on….This is on the belief of Charity. Bet you didn’t know we thought like this…

Charity

moneyRastafari believe that those who have money have been given a blessing and a Responsibility by the Most High.

Rastafari believe that money is to be given away to the Poor and needy.

Hording Money is a Sin

We believe that for one to know there are poor people who could make great use of that money that we have accumulated, and yet continue to hoard, as numbers on a bank statement…is a sin. Jah does not like this.

As Rastafari we “know” that to have a great deal of money means we are chosen to act as Delivers and caregivers of the poor and hungry and share the money.

Rasta Responsibility with Wealth

  • As Rasta once we have accumulated a good amount of money we know 3 things

  • We were chosen to have this great wealth

  • It is our duty as Servants of Jah to Share the wealth

To have food to eat each day is a blessing that we share with those who don’t have by sharing our wealth and abundance.

Rasta is very aware that every time we fill our bellies there is someone who is going without. Not because we have filled our bellies, but a full belly reminds us that some have and some do not have.

Rasta believe greatly in giving to the poor, needy and the hungry.

How I support “Charity”

Every time I get paid I buy a homeless person on the street something to eat big or small. I acknowledge them with a smile, and conversation. I know Jah is watching and it creates good Karma for me. It doesn’t have to be a lot of money. You could buy someone a $5 or $10 meal, once, a week or once every 2 weeks. Your belly is full so help someone else’s belly to be full too.

Love (The Rastafari Principle of…)

Love

 rasta dating and marriage

“Love the black nation

Love of Self

Love all of Gods Creations

Love your brother and your sister show them love

Love the black Nation

All Rastafari regardless of his or her own  ethnic origin must love the black nation, as the black nation were made in the image of Jah and designed as Jah first human. WE know Adama nad |Eve Came out of Ethiopia, therefore all Rasta who love the Almighty love the black nation.

Love of Self

As Rastafari all Rasta must love themselves without limit and without restriction.

This includes your own origin, your facial features, Hair texture, skin-color, eye color etc. Self-Love as Rasta is of the utmost importance. As messengers of love, we know that in order to be effective we must first love our selves.

Love all Jah life Creations

We as Rastafari love Jah the Almighty Creator, so naturally we love all of his beautiful wonderful and Glorious creations. From Humans, to plants, to sunshine, to rainfall, to birds that fly in the sky to Trees…Jah Jah made them all, so with the love of Rasta, we love all living creations.

Love your Brother and your Sister

My ethnic origin is Caribbean Canadian. I as Rasta have to love all other Caribbean Canadian people’s. What’s your origin and back ground? Jamaicans and all Caribbean’s are considered my “brothers and Sisters” As Empress, I show them love, by being helpful, wherever and whenever I can, and sharing an uplifting word whenever possible.

Jah Jah smiles when he sees that I help and lift up my brothers and Sisters. Loving your brothers and Sisters is a demonstration of loving yourself.

Story:

I didn’t really fall in love with myself until I embraced the Rastafari levity. Before then I was wishing my skin was lighter and that my hair could be straighter. During the winter I felt more beautiful, because during the summer I would become “dark” when my hair was permed (chemical hair straighten) I felt more beautiful.

I didn’t know it then but I didn’t love my self until I started wearing my own hair and started to love my curls, and knew that they also represented my Ancestors, who I knew were walking with me everywhere I went. Love yourself for who you are, look at yourself from a perspective that is Royal and Impressionable. We are all created unique and beautiful in the eyes of Jah. See yourself as he sees you. A beautiful unique  masterpiece.”

This is an excerpt from my new Rasta book….”Rastafari Is”…. this is one of the 17 principles Rastafari people live by.

Jah bless. Rastafari.
