  1. 4 tbsp Tropical Sun Pure Coconut Oil
  2. 1 spring onion, chopped
  3. 1 onion, chopped
  4. 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  5. 1 tsp Garlic Granules
  6. 2 tsp Mild Caribbean Curry Powder

Ital Rasta food recipe #2: Curried Carrot Soup

To cook Ital Curried Carrot Soup You will need…

  • 4 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 5 cups of peeled carrots, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups fresh chopped onions
  • 2 tsp curry
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds, powder

Ital food recipe #3: Jamaican Cabbage

To cook Jamaican Cabbage You will need…

  1. 1 medium cabbage
  2. 2 tablespoon margarine
  3. 1 scotch bonnet pepper (cut up and add for spicy)
  4. 2 sprig thyme

Ital Rasta Food Recipe #4: Caribbean Saute Okra

  1. 1 quarter cup of olive oil
  2. 4-6 garlic cloves minced
  3. I scotch bonnet pepper (you knew that was coming right?)
  4. 50 Okra’s sliced (but not diced)
  5. 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  6. Black pepper and a dash of sea salt (or leave the salt out)
  7. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat

Ital Rasta Food Recipe #5: Jamaican Rice and Peas

To cook Jamaican Rice and Peas, You will need….

    • ½ pound dried red peas (kidney beans) or small red beans (1 cup)
  1. 6 – 8 cups coconut milk
  2. 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  3. 2 whole scallions, crushed
  4. 2 sprigs of fresh thyme or 1 ½ teaspoons dried

To cook Jamaican Style Veggie Chunks, You will need….

  1. 1, 8 oz bag of Veggie Chunks – order online or try a natural health foods store
  2. 2 small-sized Carrots – chopped up
    1 stacks of Scallion – chopped fine
  3. 1 large Onion – chopped up
    4 Garlic Cloves – mashed up
    ½ of Scotch Bonnet Pepper – ripe and red
  4. ½ of Scotch Bonnet Pepper – ripe and green
  5. 1 medium-sized Irish Potato

To cook spicy eggplant you will need…

  • 2 medium-size eggplants (about 2 lbs), peeled and cut into 3/4″ pieces
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup chicken bouillon, or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
